The 1100R has really worked out well for you! Looks like a fun trip!
The dealer is asking top dollar at the price. I've seen scads of R1150R's and Rocksters out there from private parties on the $4500-$5500 range.
I came real close to buying a Rockster with 6K on it for $4500 obo....
I'm thinking about puchasing an R1150R as well. I really would like an R1200R but financially I don't think it's going to happen. Other than new technology, what will I be missing? Power and more weight I'd imagine.
Alot. I was feeling desperate for a change to a R-roadster and thought the same, R1150R is a good compromise.
Glad I waited.
The 115o is a grreat bike, but the R1200 is a handlin' mofo, with alot more power on tap. Just a complete newer gen bike than the previous.
I just saw one on CL in CA asking $7800 with lotsa farkles and 24K.
If you can spare the hussle the extra, it's well worth it.
But the 1150R is a fine momo.
Are there any dual sport tires for the 1100r? I would like to do some gravel roads...
Ugh, I was afraid of a response like this
I haven't seen many used R1200R's at all but I'll keep my eyes open for something on the higher mileage end.
...ummm...better brakes too, better ABS, mo bettah everything.
1200 balanced better by far. Smoother in the "good zone" More power and more torque.
camhead even more torque right where you want it too!
...but, still 1150R, some sweet deals..
Damnit, no beige or light grey r12r bikes (sans-esa) to be had anywhere near me. I guess now I have to wait.
What year are you looking for? I have a 2007 Crystal Grey and although I'm not really looking to sell it I would if the stars were right.
2013 because of the hole in my head
Also standard turn signal controls and that new bike smell.
This thread is killin me. I have new-bike-fever and was thinking of adding a standard to the stable (of 1). Seems to me this standard would fix my sport tourer, hop on and go city bike, carver, sight-seeing, two up comfy for wife and grocery-getter and general-purpose road bike. There are some sweet-looking units up here.
More "S" fairing models, please!
Alright...since you asked A modern "S" model.
I know I am a picture whore....but its raining like a mother#!%&*# here and only 2C so cut me some slack.
...mine is crystal gray, but the beige,, black, or alpine white one and I'll swap you colored parts...
is that the wunderlich or wudo fairing?
how is at high speeds?
Thanks for the pic. My only change would be the seat. But those are very subjective items. Not meant to be a criticism.
is the headlight the same size as the r11r?
