Here's the differences between Brembo, Galfer and some other unknown brand. Notice the spring clip for the brake pin on the Brembo and Galfer. The other unknown pad doesn't have the spring clip. When searching replacing pads make sure it has the clip. I think this may help prevent brake squeal. Also notice the Brembo has three groves and the Galfer has one grove in the pad material. Again it's my belief this helps the pad preform better by allowing gasses to escape during hard braking. The unknown brand doesn't have this either.

The Galfer seems to be the preferred pad among most people. That's all I use now. Why don't you buy them and let us know...lol. Those do have the little spring clip for the brake pins that's nice to see. They're $19 about half of what others cost, so who knows??

I've got two on the way (possibly a third If I can get the halves machined to seal off). There's no way I'm gonna sell calipers by just hacking off material, you can if you want and I'm sure you can get it close enough for government work. It's easier for me to machine the parts and quicker especially once the jig has been made.

Make that four on the way and a possible 5th If I can get the halves to seal, checking it will be a PITA as I'll have to install it on the G/S to check.

Oh none taken I completely understand..if I was just going to do one for myself. I might do that, but I'm to anal to do it with a grinder or file. Besides selling them and doing it by hand someone would complain....I'm sure.

Three calipers left. Two sets which will be sold with BMW ceramic pads and either the early type SS brake (thread in MC) line or later SS (banjo at caliper) brake line, both fit to hard steel line. Pricing TBA on the two.

I'll PM you when I get the BMW pads and braided lines in. I'm selling the last two as a kit, but need to see the final bill with shipping to figure the cost. I have one early and one late SS line.

I have two calipers right now.

    1) caliper, braided stainless line (31.5" stock length for 1989-90 R100GS, style master cylinder, as used on R80 G/S and up to 1990 R100GS, Banjo and threaded ends)) and Brembo Ceramic Pads.
    2) caliper and Brembo Ceramic Pads,

The Brembo pads are very nicely made with the spring clip and slots in pad material for better braking and cooling of pad.
