    Me and buddy are headed out for a quick jaunt with camping and stuff. Here is the route 2,153 miles approx.

    Day one, the plan to meet in the Oklahoma panhandle, Lake Etling to stop for the night. this is me about to leave the house, Oh and I didn't turn on the GPS the whole time I was in the road. I think it will make it to the flea market soon.

    as promised Lake Etling for the night. Waiting on Willy to show up.

    My set up included a luxury lite cot and EXPED air mattress. like sleeping on a cloud.

    And he showes up just before dark.

    Next day we are in Mesa country headed for the Capulin Volcano national monument.

    Final destination South Fork, CO for the night. this was the only non nylon camping for the trip.

    And we are stopping for the night in Blanding, UT. Notice the tent doesn't get set up with the same tight neatness as previously.

    woke up to get gas and this crew from Brazil showed up and one of the Bikes was blasting HWY to hell. They didn't speak english and had a pilot car in front and behind, they were headed for Las Vegas.

    Now we are going to Gunnison, CO

    Since I drug the Fly rod all over the country it's time to try it out.

    It is 781 miles from here to Sand Springs Oklahoma, this is a solo nonstop run for the house. My buddy elected not to go with

    I will add that I experienced temperatures much higher when I left than when got home. 104° in the panhandle vs 68° in the panhandle running in the dark.

    I need to add some pictures to your post but don't know how. After we split up I found some good color at Lake City and Creede. Also heard a bull bugling when I camped up by La Veta. Next year Wyoming and Montana.
