This thread is supposed to be entertaining. Where is the entertainment? Someone has to have a shiny new bike or something.
I think I will start a new thread.
Well, we need to talk huh.
We were just out riding....couple weekends ago
I got a new to me bike recently. Wish I would have bought it sooner. Going to have to head south to find someplace warm.

Mo bike porn.....
So, how are you loving the tenere? That's also on my short list of two up/ long trip riding.
Hey you can't get one of those, I want one of those.
Here's one for you and one for me: http://boise.craigslist.org/mcd/3377331466.html
So far it's a great bike... it rides awesome both 1 and 2 up. I've never ridden a GS so I cannot make a fair comparison between those two....
Seems like a fair price... I paid closer to 14k which also included the Yamaha boxes and skid plate. The Yamaha swag seems more than adequate for general touring, but might fall short for those who require a more "robust" offroad worthy setup.
You might find this interesting on what Cycle World reviews about the bike.

From what I have read, busted knuckle orange isn't for me. I did get to ride one from Carls and liked it, but I don't enjoy maintenance work at all. I'll do what is necessary but it seems like riding orange requires more time than I have at this point in my life.
I figured you for a 690 ktm, not the big fat 1200 sofa and loveseat
That seems like an accurate and fair assessment.......
I actually got out rode a few days in the past month. Got the pretty pictures pasted in my thread.
Anybody going to listen to Sam babble on tomorrow night? I'l be there. It'd be nice to see some of you! I'll probably be a little late from closing the shop, but I'll be there.
:huh funny! be good to see you... again.
Careful buddy. Them's fightin' words.
I'll say it is all in how your ride 'em.
Well we know the real reason you can't get a KTM. Kan't Take Mama.
