Got some good riding in Friday night, before the weather turned to crap.

I would be interested in these rides, however I no longer go on the IAMC site. It became all dirt all the time and I like dual sport.

    I'm doing quite well, thanks.

Doc told me last week that I'm 'officially' in remission. :clap So, I've got to do the CT scans and bloodwork every few months for the next few years, to make sure it stays that way.

I joined a YMCA Livestrong program to get my sorry butt back in shape, so I can get out a bit this summer on the DR350. So, I'm hopeful that I'll get in shape and get a few good rides in this summer.

    How are you two?

Yea not to worry your not the only one not hitting the IAMC site much these days that's why I cross posted it. You may be interested to know a lot of this years Challenge Sites are umm.. more enjoyable rides (easier), yet some are still out there.

Well I can tell you the two rides I put up are big bike friendly, there is still gravel involved too. Hopefully we will see you out riding sometime. You know we have the Prairie Ride coming up on the 27th.

Ryan, Hope you can make it, it sure would be good to see you again.

Now that boy of yours, :clap Awesome, he finally grew into the bike and no fear just like his Pop.

    Love this shot

I think the club is a reflection of it's membership at any given time... if you like dual sport, post up some of your rides on IAMC... I like to look at ride reports of all types over there...

I'm solidly in the "dual sport" camp... I don't ride single track much, too old, but I love fire roads, FS roads and moderate two track... and I enjoy the "challenge" each year because it's so diverse in the places and terrain it takes you too.

post up some of your adventures over there and make IAMC a reflection of what you like... I know I'd like to see more DS rides posted there also...
    jmo...

a bunch of us locals are making a run down to toroweap on the GC in early May... I'll be posting that up on IAMC when I get back... rick

Nice, a TW200 was my first enduro. I remember coming home at 13-14 after hitting a hidden culvert in the swail I was riding in at about 50 MPH, I launched the bike almost 80', I few 60'. Somehow I managed not to total the bike, or myself, and ride it home (after bending the handlebars back). I had to sheepishly tell my dad about it. He was just glad I was OK.

Anyway, the TW is a great little bike, and pretty much the perfect bike to learn on. Doesn't sound like your daughter is too hot to go riding just yet.

That wreck sounds pretty crazy. I'm glad my wife was going slower than that and glad to hear the bike can handle some spills. As for my little daughter, she'll pooh-pooh things until she makes up her own mind then she'll be the boss. That's her style. :deal

Yeah, I am glad I got my major learning moments (i.e. gnarly crashes) out of the way when I was younger and more limber.

The KTM is looking pretty awesome. No skid plates? Looks like it just has kind of a rock bar set up.

I have a skid plate and saddlebags to mount after the first service which is due now. After the GS, it seems to have a mile of clearance.

My best friend endo'd my TW200 too. I watched him get crossed up in the whoops going to fast (TW200 ~ not the bike to be cruising through whoops on, at speed). Watched him go right over the handlebars, then watched my new TW200 (less than 2k miles on it, and 6 months old) do three cartwheels before coming to rest. It was a rough day. Broken collar bone, trashed bars, fairing tank... pretty much the everything in front of the footpegs was toast, save the rim and forks.

That sounds like my very first wreck, at about 30 MPH on a Honda Fat Cat. I was riding a power line in FL and didn't realized they'd cut a fire break across it until it was too late. My dad who was paralleling me said the bike flipped three times and I got launched like a man out of a cannon.

This will be the last addition to the garage in a while. Really enjoy the creature comforts on this Caponord! She's a bit heavy, but it's just more to love! :evil
