Good to see this thread come back to life.

Anybody had any luck beating the snot out of a Tritium faced watch and had it stand up?

It's the only type of face I can read in the dark with old eyes and no specs.

I have been wearing a Marathon for about the last 3.5 years and it has tritium markers, bright but not too bright. It was my daily wear piece in both Iraq and Afghanistan for 3 years and it got beat pretty darn hard but still looks pretty good and operates as new. I believe it is called the Combat Search and Rescue and can highly recommend. I am not much of a watch guy but a fan of Marathon.

If on a NATO strap or the leather it is great. Their bracelets suck. Great watch. lost 6 seconds in two weeks.

i have one i use as a beater watch in the garage; it's low profile, it fits under mechanics gloves, the edges are pretty rounded and smooth, and it can take a serious thumping.

of course, i don't have huge wrists either.

The blue looks fantastic on the brown leather. What band is that? Thanks.
