Group buy is closed. Looks like there will be quite a few reviews of the Boosterplug coming in the next couple months. The seller (Jens) will contact you directly at the email address you provided. He will ship the plug directly to you. Keep in mind that he is backlogged on orders right now so you may not get your plug until February. If you didn't provide the infomation I needed I cannot guarantee you are in this group buy. Thatis up to the seller. Thanks.

For those of you that don't want to read all the terms of the group buy here is a summary:

I am only putting together the list of buyers that I will send to the seller on Monday Morning. He requires your name, shipping address and Paypal email address. I am not collecting the money and the boosterplugs will not be shipped to me. The seller will send you a Paypal invoice and ship the booster plug directly to you. He only accepts Paypal. He is located in Europe and cannot accept checks or credit cards. If you don't have a paypal account sign up for one or have a friend make the payment through Paypal and reimburse them. If I don't have your Paypal info by Monday morning I can't keep you on the list. Part of the reason Jens offers a group buy is so he doesn't have to deal with all the emails about payment, etc. I do the legwork and he gives a discount. This way he can focus on making the plugs and commnicating with customers who are paying full price.

Guys I have confirmed with Jens Lyck a group buy on his Boosterplug tuner module for a $30 discount. Price will be $120 which includes shipping to anywhere. If you aren't familiar with this product here is a link to his website: http://www.boosterplug.com/index.html

Jens has confirmed that the boosterplugs are the same for all the BMW models listed on his site. I plan to try mine out on my K1200S as well.

Payment will need to be made by Paypal directly to Jens and he will ship the Boosterplug directly to you. He will contact you for payment when it is ready to ship.

He is swamped with orders right now so it will be mid January at the soonest and possibly February before he has yours ready. We need a minimum of ten for the group buy. First come first served. I will be responsible for compiling the list and getting it to Jens (and yes I am paying $130 for my plug also).

So let's get this list started by PM'ing your name, address and Paypal email directly to me:

OK so we have ten already. I plan to close the group buy on Monday Morning. I would like to get more people to sign up to give Jens more business and to have a surplus to make up for the people that may back out, not have Paypal accounts, etc. If you don't have Paypal you can always have a friend send the money for you or you could just get an account (it's free you know).

Since the Boosterplug works on all twin and four cylinder BMW models maybe the moderators can copy this post over to Road Warriors as well?

And I thought I would copy the emails I have received from Jens.

Sorry if I was a bit unclear about this - we dont want to make double payment (Paypal fees).

You or somebody in the group keeps a list including names, adresses, and mail adresses, and when the list is finished you send it to me.

As soon as the BoosterPlugs are ready for shipping, I'll send a mail to the people on the list and ask them for payment.

This way, I'll know who is in for the discount

I'll ship the BoosterPlug to each individual.

I think thats an easy and fair way to do it :-)

    /Jens

    Thanks Brian,

You're on the list for a BoosterPlug, and I'll let you know when its
    ready for shipping.

With a group buy of minimum 10 pcs. the price will be USD 120 including
shipping, providing that you (or somebody else) keep a list and makes a
    single purchace order
. (Note that you're on the january 15 batch order - the rest of the
group may have to wait until february to get the BoosterPlug)

And yes - all BMW BoosterPlugs are alike. BMW have been pleasantly
consistant by using the same spec. AIT sensor for all their recent
bikes, and as all modern bikes are leaned out to meet the same emmision
standards, they need the same enrichment for maximum power and
    rideability.

    Cheers

    /Jens

Group buys happen in VENDORS, this thread will be moved there soon, we'll give a bit of time to gather some steam.

This is interesting but I have never heard of "boosterplug" and it sounds a little gimmicky to me. Does anyone have any experience with this product that could give us some feedback?:ear

Has anyone seen a dyno run:deal comparison with this "booster plug"? And how does tricking the engine into running richer affect fuel consumption, engine temperature etc.? Long term side effects besides paying more for fuel?
So far, a strong smell of snake oil prevails.

Read what he has on his website. This product does not increase horsepower, just makes the torque band better. Power FRK is a similar product and they have a dyno graph up on their website.

I didn't know this group buy was happening and I recently contacted him and got on his list. I wonder if he'll let me switch to this group buy and save $30.

I'll be happy to put you on the list but you need to contact Jens to make sure he is OK with that. It's his call not mine.

    Thanks.

But will it cause the catalytic converter to fail earlier? MPG down more than 2-3 mpg? Sounds good and I would be in too.
