Hi, I've stopped for the night at an inn in Stevenson, WA and discovered that I've got a split rear brake line on my R1200GSA.

I'm going to see if my in insurance will cover it and get the bike to the BMW shop in Tigard/Portland.

If not is there anyone that could help me out with moving the bike to the garage?

    Thanks,
    Adrian

    That's the plan this morning.

I also need to speak to DMC Sidecars as they fitted the tow hitch that has caused the damage.

Yeah, so I can tow a trailer. Although I haven't got a trailer yet.

    Insurance? You're kidding, right?

Take it back to the guy that damaged it and have him fix it.

    split rear brake line,,as in,,leaking?
    if not leaking,,no major worries.
If it's a small leak, ride it to a shop and try not to use the rear brake.
I tore the front brake reservoir completely off my 12GS, and made it 30 miles out of the woods, and the fifty miles to home.

Wash off any brake fluid it leaks.

DMC Sidecars have fixed the rear brake line and are going to be replacing the rear ABS sensor cable so all is good.
