:huh whose fault is it that the suction cup was broken? It was used, right?

I've had amazing service from both companies. I've even met the owner of RAM, nice guy, nice to see a company that cares about 'made in the usa'.

That's my point. He bought a used RAM part, it was non-functioning, and they still replaced it. I liken RAM's warranty to that of Craftsman.

Got a reply back this morning, they are sending me another one for the cost of shipping ($1.50) no questions asked.

I sent them a photo of the broken item in the original email and a brief inquiry about getting it replaced, as listed on thier warraty page, that is all.

One question you have to ask yourself.....
Can I afford to buy another GPS when it quietly slips out of the broken RAM mount at speed? :(:
That kinda makes the extra $$ for the TT mount all worth it. I have a 276C securely mounted to the bars with keylock. Piece of mind goes a long way.
Sure, the TT mount is 10 times the price....take a look at the quality. To me, it's a no brainer. Toss the RAM pos over your shoulder and order a TT mount.

Maybe the 276 series is different, but I haven't had any trouble with the 60 series "slipping out" of my RAM mount. Only one time has it come off the bars, and that was on a hard off-road crash where EVERYTHING went flying.

    Do I feel lucky? :lol3

I never worried about the 76 falling out either, I tie the lanyard off to the handlebars also (as someone else mentioned).
I am consodering the TT cradle, it looks like a nice piece of harware especially if it is lockable for the 76CS, that might be worth upgrading for,
but the pricetag puts it down farther on the want list rigt now.

That aside, I'm impressed with Ram's no-hassle replacement of my broken one, good on them.
