"Manning just comes to work." :huh

    What?

'Manning just comes to work' in the same way Attila the Hun just comes to Eastern Europe. Or Germans just come to Belgium for some hiking in matching uniforms.

You make it sound like Manning is Rosie the Riveter.

Not feeling too comfortable about this week's game. SD has a penchant for starting slow and finishing strong and since this week's game is make or break for them I'm sure we'll get their best shot.

Denver teams of recent past have shown a proclivity to cave late in the season especially against division rivals. With PM at the helm I'm thinking this trend may change, what say you? :ear

It should be a brawl with the two defenses. Looking forward to it. PM should best a frustrated PR in the end. One can keep their cool under pressure, the other, well, he has issues.

I think momentum is on our side, but yes.... a little on the edge of my seat. Philip Rivers has to be perfect though.

Last game was such a good game for us in the complete sense (special teams, defense, offense) that it seems we're really starting to gel.
If we keep that trend and handle the Chargers - and I think we can, it's going to be quite a second part to the season.

I hope Mile High (yes I said MILE HIGH) is freaking ROCKING LOUD!!

The crowd can really take Rivers out of fight early, especially if he has a bad 1st quarter.

This is a big "no shit!" comment. Mile High hasn't been it's old self since, well, since it was just plain 'ol Mile High stadium a few thousand feet away. I attended games that were so raucous that I thought the fillings in my teeth would shake loose. Oh, and those great fights in the south stands.....:1drink

Run it right the F up on 'em after that on-side BS!

Every single Chargers player on offense has hands of pure stone.

Well, I'm a happy boy but it was more difficult than I thought it would be. PM got happy feet at times and SD's pass rush was damn good but he still had some decent stats (no, I'm not a fantasy football nerd :rolleyes).

I'm worried about McGahee's durability too.

As for Mr. Rivers, I dunno, I hated him when Cutler was here and wondering where the animosity came from but it's nice not to see the trash talking. Regardless, it's water under the bridge now and PR's quick becoming a pathetic figure on a Norv Turner doomed team.

And what the hell was Dummerville doing in there? :huh

Oh well, between AFA winning Friday night AND GETTING A BOWL INVITE and the Broncos taking a commanding lead in the AFC Worst I'm a happy boy and that's what it's all about, right? :freaky

He took a pretty smack on the knee....would've put anyone on the sideline. He is 31 though, and his clock is ticking.

Other than that, he seems pretty tough, and has shown that he can be the go-to guy down after down after down after down.

I was a little worried about the running game with McGahee out and Hillman being pressed into duty aside from runbacks - but was pleasantly surprised to see Lance Ball step up.
They ran pretty well a few times against the #2 run defense.

Torn ligament. Options are Lance Ball, the rookie Helman, and Noshow Moreno.

Actually, I think trade season is over and the FA market has to be thin this time of year.

Don't we have a few KC fans here? I'm curious about your take on this Sunday's matchup. It seems that regardless of their record KC always gets up for a game against the Broncos. Denver's giving 10 but I'm thinking they'll be hard pressed to do that well. What say you?

Seriously, KC is so bad right now, Manning will cut them up like bait. Records could be set. Remember the playoff game a few years ago when Manning and the Colts came into KC and scored on every possession? It should be like that. No way will it be just ten points.

That is one of my favorite football games of all time. I loved it. Not sure why but for some reason that game just did it for me. I usually love close games.

seems like whenever I have that mindset the underdog gets whipped into a frenzy and kicks ass

I'm going to be very cautious about my optimism :lol3
