Great RR, not your typical trip by any means. When are you gonna do another.

Various car manufacturers produced many "Canada only" versions .1960 Ford Frontenac (compact Falcon for Mercury dealers to sell till the Comet came out) Mercury trucks instead of F series . The Beaumont to sell instead of Chevelle forCanadian Pontiac dealers.Acadians in place of Chevy 11 .Lots of odd names/models on this side of the border

That bike needs the be displayed somewhere after this trip. You are the man Mitch for pulling this off. Following your report has been inspirational and helped me make it through the boring winter months!

Parisienne was like Bonneville and Laurentian was like Catalina. In the '60s they were built on Chevy chassis (no wide track) and used Chevy engines. Later models were like US cars.

I'm glad I wrote the ride report since at least I've finally used my encyclopedic knowledge of obscure vehicles to entertain some folks. Usually it just annoys people.

Hey! I met that German couple at a hotel in... um.. somewhere. Colombia, I'm pretty sure, though I can't remember which town it was now. Maybe in Bogota, on my way to Cartagena?

A lot of memories were made on that motorcycle. From Mitch's recent history I would say there are more to come. I for one can't wait to see what is next....Thanks for the ride Mitch....

Leaving San Pedro de Atacama today, heading for Argentina to go down 40 to Mendoza. I planned out the rest of my time until May 24th when I want to be in Rio, so I'll be moving pretty quick now.

I'd display it along with some photos from the trip in front of a BMW dealership.

Did the USA get the Pontiac Astra? (Vega twin) I was thinking not.

And agreed here. We need a new trip plan and RR sooner rather than later.

I just hope it gets home without hassles. Meanwhile, I took the E subway line to the last stop and walked around aimlessly for a few hours. One thing I came upon was this infamous place. It is tha Stadium that the military Junta used to interrogate, torture and murder thousands of students, professors and others suspected of leftest leanings.

I was walking through this working class neighborhood of immigrants from Bolivia and Peru. This sculpture was in the park

We got the Pontiac Astra (and the Mercury Bobcat) 2 years after they were introduced in Canada.
