Oh hell. Moving back to the deep freeze this December and I sold my ice tyres just before moving to a place where water does not freeze. Who is gonna help me get the YZ450 and boys KX65 ready for ice season this winter. Need tyres, wheels, fenders, etc. What ya got?

What size tires are on the 65?

21/19's will start popping up for sale locally in the next few months, it's just a matter of having cash on hand when they show. Otherwise Jeff Fredette still pumps em out every day:deal

KX65 is 12/14 and I have extra wheels and tyres, so will probably have the boy install the screws himself as therapy. Will still want to build fenders for it though.

The YZ will need the whole lot, but it is a bit daft that I have had tyres, wraps, wheels, etc that would all fit and sold them all over the last two years.

Yes, indeed. Madison it is. Hopefully I will have a job too. Figure getting the ice tyres sorted first was more important. :D

I need a set too this year. Think I'm going to spring for my first unused set of pro built. Boomer was talking abt some HD dealer that starts the pattern and sells (for less) with liners the tires. I think he said $500 with MF1's. I just worry they will cut forks and swingarms and exhaust pipes.

nah, hours wise it's due for a look see inside with an update (oil pump stuff) or two to keep it running trouble free. I just wanna stay ahead of the curve.

I'll be looking for and buying used tires btw.

Anywho we'll be riding in Nevada come early April anyways.:evil:deal:1drink

I think I want to continue getting paid in GBP so I can afford these tires. On Fredette's website, it looks like $570 for the full size tires and $345 for the KX65 tires. At least in GBP it sounds like less at £350 and £212. The cheapskate in me still feels the need to start trolling craigslist.

With ama tires spend the money on a new set and they will likely last 5 years or more. With mf1 tires you're unlikely to get 2 seasons out of em depending how ya ride it

Thanks. I can't wait to be back Stateside in spite of your Ebola problem. Though it does seem likely that the move will get delayed until February. As of today I am expecting the family will move in December and I will have to stay in the UK for three more months. Maybe one of you lot would be nice enough to take my boy ice riding since I likely won't be back in time.
