Broad Hollow Road shows running out of Bryce Canyon into Kanab. Looks like a good ride on a county road. Is it dirt or paved ?

Edit - Maybe it is East Fork to Johnson Canyon Road.....

    Thanks

I think you are referring to the Skutumpah Rd. Yes it is dirt.

Here is the adv thread with the latest road conditions. Scroll down to the table - says Skutumpah is in good shape, 2WD passable with washboards. That is good.

Fantastic road. Incredible scenery. A few sandy spots and a few cows on the road but awesome. Highly recommended if you like dirt.

About 75 miles. Use the bicycling directions on Google maps for Tropic - Kanab to get the route details.

Skutumpah road is an easy and scenic route from the area of Kodachrome State Park to Kanab. I use to ride my R1150GS Adventure there often.

It can get greasy when wet.

Make sure you stop and investigate Bull Valley Gorge, a very narrow slot canyon. Back in the 50’s three boys in a pickup got too drunk and drifted off the dirt bridge that spans the top. The truck fell into the canyon about 30 feet before getting pinched between the walls, crushing the truck. Two were killed in the truck and the other was ejecting to fall a hundred feet to the canyon floor.

It took several days to recover the bodies from the truck. Utah then just piled more dirt on top of the wrecked truck and made a better bridge. If you get out and walk a little you can still see the truck stuck there. Local legend had it that a Remington rifle is still in the truck cab.

If you are looking for a loop the Cottonwood road from Page to Kodachrome is good too.

Have a blast in some of my favorite Country.

You can just see the truck right here.........I
