No #1 plate for you this year buddy!
The #1 plate this year belongs to the spirit of our late, great paisano, Mr. John Troia.
That's so awesome! I still get goosebumps when I look at the R4R picture of all of us raising a glass in his honor.
(The #1 plate is a joke between MMMotorcycle and I...we each got it separate years so it was kind of a game to see who would get a lower number
Can you post that photo? I'd love to see it!
Photo credit to one of the club members taking pics
The club (WDSR) added some of John Troia's ashes to a new planting by the fairgrounds gate - where he was always working, either at the registration booth or checking riders in and out. A really nice tribute.
That was me. John Newton asked me to take a pic and I was afraid it would be shit because of the lighting in there. And I was 3/4 drunk at that point...
Only 3/4 drunk ?? Good thing or you woulda been flying a drone in there
Hmmmm, I think I might be a bit too early for lunch.
Heading over to the nude beach?
I know it's a long shot but if someone's plans change and they can't make it, I'd love to take their place. Just PM me and I'll PayPal you right away.
Can't do it this year for a number of reasons. I do have some basically new Kendas for sale though if someone needs some good DOT knobbies
If there's anyone still wanting to get in on The Bucky, send me a PM.
I'm asking the original registration price for it.
You can't change the shirt size, you'll be stuck with what I ordered. I think it was a medium, but am not certain.
Edit/Update: Both spots have now been spoken for.
No Zora on the Bucky?!? Who's going to wear the pink Tutu this year?
Awful quiet on this thread with only a couple of weeks to go.
I've come up on Friday in past years - but won't be able to get there until Saturday morning this year. Is the sound check and check in going to be at the Legion Saturday morning? Or will it be at the field where the rider's meeting has been?
Anybody hanging out for a fire Saturday night? Trying to decide if I want to camp or head out after supper.
We are not sure yet where sound check is going to be yet.
Keep an eye on this thread for the answer.
Disregard - looks like camping Saturday night isn't an option.
I'll rent you a spot in my backyard.
Thanks, but I've got a warm bed and cold beer at my in-laws place - which is only another 10 mins further south from Mineral Point!
If you'd rather have that than a bunch of damp leaves on a hillside then ok.
Here is a email I received regarding Bucky camping.
"Correction to the information sent on Friday: Free camping at the Start Field is ALSO available Saturday night.
Apologies for the mis-information. We will be sending out specific ride information this Friday. We have a pretty complete list of emails that the information gets sent to, but we encourage to make sure all of your riding friends are receiving the emails.
