Looks great! Nice job.
Wow, lotta work there...looks great. I really like the muted color scheme for the painted parts.
:eek1 Frickin' awesome !
This is very cool. I'm in.
AWESOME, simply awesome.
Great detail in pics and story telling too.
I like the oil separator. Honda XR650 I think. But where does it go after the separator??
That little filter, of a radio controlled racer, is simply Brilliant
Thanks for sharing that link.
Originally I had my separator finishing in the air box.
Then with the FCR's I did like you using a car filter. The filter sits just in front of the front air filter. The separator is in the same place as yours(cable tied )
So............... You appear to be a very skilled painter and I need some advice on how to paint something tricky
I have a anodised Motormaster caliper and anodised disk carrier that will not match the theme of my latest "950 Trail Bike" project. I have painted the rocker covers, oil pipes, even the clutch pressure plate (for CJ's SD clutch cover window) in a calliper high temp red. But I have no idea how to prep anodising for paint......................
The old "950 Rally" theme
The Calliper to Red, the disk carrier to black
Clutch pressure plate in Etch, then Red baked after a few days(in the kitchen.... don't tell the missus)
The "950 Trail Bike" Faring, tank, rear tanks Automotive Black finished "off the gun" (I have a compressor and spray gun set up)
Thanks for any helpas you do look like a skilled painter......
Looks like you have a spelling mistake in the sticker? it should say K2M
Как дела my friend. You must have unlimited adventure for a limited time of the year. I love the buildings in Moscow. I spent a week in a town in eastern Turkey. It would drop to -29. It hurt to breath. It must be fun on a bike in Moscow. I skied off a mountain at -14...... My face died.
Extraordinary work, very impressive, top job. Shame about the hijack
It's not really a hijack mate as I think you will find that he was finished.... look at the last photos..... We are in discussion phase........ I thought you had a BM........... finally wake up to what an expensive heap off to run they are Northern suburbs
Great build up! Very nice job.
I thought that was you, but didn't recognize the name change.
I have baskets/ EXPs and Covers ready for you whenever you are.
Love the Machine work pics.
Amazing eye for detail and machine work dude!
I was thinking something like that but Google-ing was returning just paint it........ Looks like I can get away with some 1200 wet/dry first to break the hardness(this is the key to success), then etch, then colour with oven.
My bike looks as rough as guts while I'm working on it but I'll put a lot of effort in to produce a good finish.
Another question....... sorry I noticed you removed the pistons/seals from the calipers. Do you think I could bake at 200c without removing them. I was thinking the must reach high temps in use when braking ....... On the other hand its a $1000 brake system :huh Yikes !
Also I'm happy to delete my photo post if you wish so as not to Hijack as I only wanted to show that my questions were not just padding, and that I have a serious undertaking. It's a good idea to get that clutch basket from CJ. I'm going to get one to . Thanks for your link.......
And sorry Banana you caught me at a bad time The missing word is not shit...... it's metal
Really neat build!
A very good eye for colour balance (Photographers eye)
And the skills to go with it. I wonder what you will be doing in 20 years.
I can't believe how well you have blended that Safari tank in... It looks like it came from the factory. They usually stick out like dogs balls:eek1
Some of the guys that have complimented you have done some very good work over the years.............. Hi praise indeed
