As a 15 year Burning Man veteran I always love to read other folks stories!
Been three times. The first time in particular changed my life. I had no idea humans could live in the way they do at Burning Man. It is a complete 180 of everything you know and love in life... It is pretty amazing to see if you consider yourself even remotely free spirited...
Mostly because I've been 3 times and I feel like I have bigger fish to fry, not sure I would go again today versus going to Mexico or something like that, but getting there and back on a moto with all the required amenities (bike and all) would be a fun challenge to attempt...
KNOCK KNOCK !
JAY WHO RAY! DAT'S WHO.
Where are you amigo? Got me interested ...... I've enjoyed it so far.
Sorry about the ex. I can see where you miss her.
Also sorry that the mods pruned the pic of her in the VW bus. Glad I beat them to it. That was nice ......
Are you a nurse in a psych ward?
If so, it seems that BM would sorta' be like another day at work.
I've got an amigo in AZ that does that.
If his stories are any indication, it sounds like quite an interesting job! :huh
Patiently waiting for the next installment!
I have now formally invited the mermaids to accompany you and your BMW to SPRING BRAKE!:loll
Liking it so far, bring your computer to Crooked river, the are way to many photo's that are there that can't be here so bring them there! Got it!
Looking forward to the ride, and the rest of this RR!
I recall your thread that was the last trip with your mate, really great read. I feel your pain. looking forward to looking forward. Keep the Burning Man tale coming.
On with the story!
I don't get the "too young" part.
I was there in 2010 (I work for the Black Rock City Fire Dept.) and am going back this year...pumped...:dllama
More gratuitous debauchery needed please!
Hope it helped you recover from your loss.
I'm so in.....more mermaids please
I was retrieving a Dakar from Reno...
Next chapter soon...
Well, that's a pretty good excuse. Now, on with the story...
burning man has really turned into something with tickets and such - when I was in college at UCSD in the late 80's I drove my then 4 speed sportster out into the desert to what was an early burning man thing which at that time was basically a bonfire in the desert with patchouli oil scented shoeless folks - we went out looked around and kept going
now if there had been "mermaids" we probably would have stayed, now on with the report
I hope you ride faster than you drive!
Did you take Charley and Ewan's long way round?
JUST KIDDING, well not really!
Looking forward to SRING BRAKE!
