    Sir,

I believe you purchased my 09 GTS250ie! Their is no telling how many 2 wheeled conveyances you've had since then and your moving to Asheville!!! There will be no excuse for not hitting the BRP frequently!!! I'll have to look you up when I ride that area!!!

    Hey Jim!
Yup, bought the black one from you. Great scooter!

My home will only be a few miles from the BRP so I'll ride it often. Hopefully we will meetup out there!

My Vespa goes up for sale. Think I'll get a Forza.
Ad is in the flea market if anyone is interested.
Wish I could post it on Modern Vespa but I'm banned (like 10,000 other folks)

I thought long and hard about your scoot but in the end, just wasn't ready to give up motorcycles altogether and go scoot only.

So I've put almost 300 miles on the CTX this first week and my hip/leg and back are aching. I hoped/thought this low seat bike would be the way to get back into motorcycling but, it's not to be. I cannot see keeping this to ride the way I ride (lots of short trips around town - lots of on and off).

So it is for sale (no surprise to those of you who know me!) If any of you are interested, it's in the for sale forum.

Have an appointment to go look at a Silver Wing this afternoon. That's the one scooter I keep coming back to - have had about 6-7 of them. Hopefully I will buy and keep the next one for at least 1 year. It seems to fit me the best.

For those of you who don't know me - this is my thing. My hobby.

Buying, trying/riding bikes and scooters. Usually they are used - bought for a good price - and I lose very little when I sell. Almost never pay for tires or maintenance since the scoots aren't kept long enough for that. Total cost for all this is $500 - $1000/year - a price I find acceptable for a hobby I enjoy this much.

BUT - in the last few years I have bought 2 new motorcycle (in the hopes of being able to ride one again) an HD Sportster and this CTX. I lost a boatload when I sold the HD and I'll lose (hopefully less than a boatload) when I sell the CTX.

Learn from my mistakes! Don't buy new! There are plenty of used scoots and bikes out there. If you are careful you can buy one, ride it 6 months and sell it for what you paid. Don't buy new!

As quickly as you swap bikes I envision your next bike never making it off of the showroom floor, rather just moving from the new bike side to the used bike side with a total of 20 feet on the odometer.

That said, you are a real asset to this board as you have owned more models that I have actually seen.

Picked up a couple of CTs last week. My son's friend was selling them and they seem like the perfect bikes for riding the fire service roads around here.

They were running til a few years ago when they were set aside under a tarp so, I'm hoping not too much is needed to get them back on the road. I'm not a mechanic by any means so unless it is basic stuff, I'll have to take them to someone.

These are going to be a father/son project and my boy is away until early July so nothing will be done till then.

I sold the 2010 Vespa GTS 300 tonight. I love Vespas but I want to go back to one scoot again. The buyer says he is going to take it cross country in a few weeks.

Down to the CTX and Silverwing

At what CCs does a vehicle stop being a scooter and become an automatic motorcycle?

For me it's not the engine size but the step thru frame that defines a scooter.

Well most definitions I've seen require a step through design, floorboards and the engine under the seat. That's what I usually go by.

    CTX is sold.

Now down to just the Silverwing ( and the 2 non-running CT110s) so time to start looking for what's next.
