It has been mentioned in years past...never choosen, too far for Cuttle, but she can overnight with Maggie and I.
How about? http://www.senecalodge.com/
I am in the area every Labor Day.
Have always loved the area, setting.
State Park is right up the road for campers
Knock it around a bit
Place looks pretty cool.
BYOB hangover track day at Noon on Saturday.
looks great - just a tad to far...
psssst...Cuttle now has long distance bike.
yes I do, but it's still 11 hours on the interstate - and I loathe the interstate. It would take me 2 days each way to take the scenic route, but if the timing is right I may be able to take some extra days vacation and take Dan up on his offer... ("mandatory work" for the first 3 weeks in June)
been there, done that.... (till I got tired to live out of two duffel bags)
right now there are a few weeks per year I am a "slave": 3 weeks in June, and all of August and September (at least I get a lot of comp time out of it...)
You need to get back that "European" work ethic.
that would seriously cut back on my ADV time!
aren't you supposed to be heading west already????
Anyone from Europe knows that isn't an insult.
Having lunch in Washington state right now.
too early for crab season - otherwise you'd have to ship me some dungeness crab
Canaan Valley West Virginia????
+1 on that.
Anybody ever stay at the Alpine Lodge in Davis WV? I know the restaurant [Sawmill] caught fire last year [not sure if it was rebuilt]. I have drove past it many times, but never gave it a closer look. If you knuckleheads didn't need rooms, there is a nice private campground just before Blackwater Falls State Park called the Restrite. Hot showers and convince store/gas station and Micro brew/restaurant w/in walking distance. If we did do Davis, we'd have to do a Blackwater 100 redo.
