Finally on the road, should be there sometime after lunch. Fekkin' trailer bearings.
What completely ignorant asshole would go off trail to tear up a bunch of gravel piles? Did anyone notice that each pile has a sign indicating that they are owned by a number of local governments? Someone couldn't have found a better way to piss off area governments in a single ignorant act. Those marks last a long time and will remind people well into the future about poor behavior by some motorcyclists. This goes completely against the work we are trying to do here with increased access, establishing a single track motorcycle trail, and expanding the trail system into the local towns that own those gravel piles. This is an extremely unsatisfactory situation. Complete morons.
Must be pretty desperate up there if he didn't throw back the O'Douls...
Well its my second deer on a bike and other than getting a nervous tick every time I see a John Deere logo I'm doing good.
How is the camping situation now. Coming up tomorrow morning thru Sunday. Anybody want to give up some space for me. my bike and a tent? It would be nice to know where I am going to be able to set-up before I get there. Thanks for any help.
See y'all soon. Bringing awesome riding weather with us so strap your damn boots on. Been itching all week to twist my right hand.
Oh well, I am coming anyway. Leaving soon, should be up there late afternoon. I hope someone takes pity on me...
Anybody who knows who's the children's gear for sale up by the 10th as we've got a couple interested parties
No, but I still have a large rolling gear bag (new) and several pairs of winter/snowmobile gloves for sale in Site 142.
@jakerps13 thank you for the tire! Wish I knew what you looked like, I'd thank you in person.
Was great catching up with you all and meating some new folks as well.
Sorry for the short visits, just the way things worked out this year.
Safe travels, Everyone.
Thanks Bonebag, Cannonshot, Scott, Lobster crew, Drift and all the other volunteers who pulled off yet another great rally.
Sadly I had to leave early to attend a funeral Friday night(Godspeed Eddie) but I enjoyed seeing everyone and the riding was epic. I look forward to next years "not a rally but get together" thingy.
Thanks Bonebag Brit and crew , had a great time.
It was great seeing everybody and the riding was awesome
Got home about 12:15. Now the massive clean-up begins.
This was my fourth CADVR. I always feel a bit reflective on the way home from one. I gauge my summer not so much by the three major holidays, but by the Central Rally. I wasn't very far down the road this morning before I realized that an entire shitty winter that seemingly won't end will occur before we get to Rally again 'up north.' That's depressing as hell.
That said; thanks to Bonebag and his crew for continuing to make this the single-best way to spend a week ever. I'd say this was a pretty spectacular walk-off homer as he heads to retirement. And thanks to Cannonshot for the awesome tracks. Talk about dedication. And to those that helped by looking in on my dog Elmer so I could go play...thank you. You have no idea how relieving that is. If Elmer had thumbs and could type he'd say the same thing.
It was great to catch-up with old friends, (Man, @Yooper_Bob was really sleeping in late this morning.) and to make some new ones. All of you are absolutely wonderful.
So let's do this again. Whomever replaces Bonebag in the lineup...yeah, there are some big shoes to fill. But don't waste your time trying to fill them. Put on your own shoes and walk your own walk. Hang out a shingle telling us where & when, and we'll be there.
We got home bout 3, all is put away where it kinda belongs. Ish.
One last night off then four working nights next week...then a five day weekend
Thanks to bonebag and Brit as always. A lot of work goes into it, and a few extra helping hands is always a good thing.
One very happy cat
Great week. Thanks everyone and Geoffrey. I had a great ride yesterday on my new to me 450X. Blew a trailer tire on the way home. Plus 22 minutes to the drive. Hope the injured folks recover strong. Been to all but 2 of these. Missed one due to a rescheduled soccer tournament. So, 3 through 11.... When I stopped coacking guys, I signed up for all 9 days. Like Bultaco said, look forward to it every year. Starting next year..... Meet and greet for a week. BYOB. Maybe a central camp fire?
That was a hoot, Thanks to everybody for all the hard work.
