Weren't servi-cars flat-heads?
Yes, but I thought we were discussing panheads and only panheads
I thought we were posting cafe racer photos?
Nope. Cafe racers. ADV Panhead thread is here. One of the finest, actually.

Here. I'll help get this thing back on track. This is my KZ1000:
you have one of my favorites
Does anyone have any pix of a Kawasaki W650 lump in a Featherbed frame?? Certainly someone has done that by now.
Oh my! That's one beauty of a GT. Or is it an SS with a GT rear brake?
IIRC it's actually a Sport. Mike Cecchini built it/had it built. Not sure of the entire story but I saw it at the Indy MotoGP in 2008 and it sure looks nice...
I just checked with Mike. He's not a member here but this is what he said about the bike:
I thought I had more pics of it but I can't find them now. In that picture it's missing the tank emblems so I'm not sure what other details are different now?.
That is sweet. The more I see of these old BMW boxers the more I like them.
How does it turn?
I had the pleasure of meeting Mike C. at a Daytona Ducati Day Party during Bike Week several years back. He had a beautiful Monster with lots of trick stuff done to it.(At the time I was riding a 95 M900) He can build some pretty damn impressive Ducatis. Cool to see his work again. Pics probably can't show the detail of lots of his work.
This is a W2SS and not a W650. The W2 followed the earlier W1 and was succeeded by the W3. After a long hiatus the W650 came to the market. The W1-2-3 series was evolutionary from one model to the next. The 650 was an entirely new and different design.
I've heard about a W650-in-a-featherbed, however Google can't find it. I owned a W2SS which I bought new in 1969, and am now on my second W650.
jehu for making this thread what it is.
By tugging on the calipers.
I'm really, really liking this:

I have a buddy that is in the process of building a Norsaki w/ a W650 engine. I will try and make it to his house and get some shots of it. Pretty much looks like every other ???ton that has been built to date. Silver, tank black frame, black bum stop seat,etc...
