The fellow renting my place near red deer has the BMW450; which is where the CCM450 came from. It seems to be a well sorted bike. I hope CCM does well with this bike. Even if they don't, parts will be available for years to come.

I took it last year. I am very inexperienced on non paved surfaces so it was invaluable to me. Well worth the money IMO. The balancing exercises showcased how poor I really am.
Instructors were great although sadly JR McRae won't be there.

Thanks for all the comments. I am looking forward to finding out how bad I am at slow speed maneuvering and balance. It seems to be my nemesis since most of my falls have been in tight right hand turns at less than walking speed.

Lee, good advice re stripping the bike of its mirrors and lowering/removing the windshield. Hope you are healing up and will be back on the 990 soon!

I am planning to get the bike out for a spin this Sunday if the weatherman is correct and spring returns. Cheers, David

Yes'er on the leg thing !!!

Our Edmonton brother got his cast off, and is now signed up for physo and stregthing for the next month and beyond to put mussel and mass into the big gun.

The main thing is that he takes caution on the good leg at the same time as it plays the roll as main support over the whole chassy.

Same deal, but the destination for tomorrow's dinner is Hanna.

I'm hoping to ride to work on Sunday.

Lee, its not so much a case of getting paroled early as desperate enough to take a calculated risk for the sake of my sanity.

So, end of the month should tell the tale for you? Any risk you may not be ready to go for your May long weekend trip? Here's hoping all is well by then. Cheers, David

That cast just has to push down not lift like the clutch side. (Only kidding, dont do it)

Tried out wildrose mx park in the mud. Lots of mud and lots of fun. 17 dollars at thecar wash to get all the mud off. Mud is nice and soft to fall in. :clap:clap

Made it out to the end of the Transalta road today. I saw a little of everything on the road. Ice, snow, mud, dust and stretches of scattered potholes deep enough to swallow a man.

A moment of inattention and my nemesis, a muddy rut.

The only real snowy section. Jeeps were making the side of the road a quagmire. I managed to get around the snow without difficulty.

The riverbed was in great condition

    PM replied.

Pretty sure it was someone else. I don't think I was on the FTR with a bike last year. If I was, I would have been on my 640.

Did about 380 kms about 60/40 pavement/gravel. Apart from the vicious west wind it was a pleasant day to be out and about. Cheers, David
