I picked up the tag from a spot I tagged back around post 957

    Litto's Hubcap Ranch on
Pope Valley rd is always a joy with some unknown tarmac that was fast & uncrowded without enforcement

    And the new tag is

You can verify with google road view.
The tunnel here was closed and I don't know if the cliff edge one way road was open.
Construction started in 1917, was completed in 1921 here.
It was very loud when this site was used

It is in the same area, but far enough away and a totally different view.

    I'll allow it!

Especially since I rode up here to claim it.

    Boom!

For the record, here's a Google map of the distance between the two sites.
    https://goo.gl/maps/vV9LT9g9hso

They are indeed very close to one another and I think a credible argument can be made for nullifying it due to that proximity.

However, I would argue that it's a totally different subject matter, different part of the area, and the area is very rich with scenic spots that could be used, so I support leaving it open for future tags. [But c'mon you guys, after the tag has traveled up and down the state, please.]

Also, for obvious reasons, I support ME having the tag! :lol3

But whatever, I'll go with the Wisdom of the Forum.

So...What sayeth all of yee? :hmmmmm:ear

So it is written, so it shall be.

Also, you are tricky, Mr Gas! I noticed you left GPS info in the photo you posted, but it's wrong! It shows near Fort Funston! Almost threw me off the trail, what a clever bit of misdirection.

    Well played sir!

You might of miss understood me I was just saying the tag was in Golden Gate National Recreation area. I didn't want to just give away the location And yes there are many different areas there we can use for tags. And I'm 100% behind you on having the tag if it matters.

    Aha! Fair enough.

    "If it matters..." If? IF??

IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS!!!!!

Also I'm sick in bed. Not sure if I can ride on Wednesday and a phantom electrical problem showed up yesterday that I can't deal with because of the sick in bed part.

It is SOOOOOOO nice outside right now. I think I just heard Bruce ride by...

I hear ya GD...I know, I'm lagging. Sorry everyone!

My health is not cooperating. My plans for Moto camping got scrapped. I'm nervous my ear blockage will progress to vertigo and the last place I want to be is mounted atop The Katoom for that. I just don't feel comfortable riding too far until I'm 100% again, and I'm not putting the tag back in the middle of SF again. That didn't go over too well last time.

For the sake of the thread I should tap out.

Can I abdicate the tag? Pass the honor back to you GD? I think you would be the rightful heir, but then I fear I would be imposing on you to go on another ride to post a new tag .

    Thoughts?

I'll be ok with you giving up the tag, but who ever wants it needs to go and grab the last tag.
