thanks for coming out. yes, the food was good, big portions and jim even comment it was very reasonable.

cory, pretty much it is a road bike now. took off the 21/17 and replaced it with a 19/17 from woodys + street tires. it also lowered the bike and now i can touch the ground.....:lol3

having this in your backyard, i can't resist riding even at 100F....:tb

only way able to ride it was to lower the suspensions and put 19/17, otherwise i suffer from acrophobia......:cry

buster, we need to get some riding as soon the weather cools down.

My wife and I just drove that Mammoth to June trail in our Jeep this weekend, also added in the Mammoth trail loop for good measure. Easy trail, couple of rocky climbs that can be done with patience by most anybody though. The sand/pumice is deep in spots.
Superb riding areas here and very well marked.

    ride we did.....:ricky

    buster, another good weekend.

dado recently bought a brand new baja 990 and got the suspension done.... he wants to ride, and has been bugging me to do the same. why not, i just finished putting a magic button on the xr400 plus a pumper carb to perk it up.

temp here in the valley was in the high 90s, only place cooler is big bear (about 80 miles from home) and sitting at 6K feet.

    on our way to hesperia

Jordan Peak lookout tower, built 1934. It's a 3/4 mile hike up 650' which feels like 4 miles...huff and puff for me. :knary

awesome riding here in the forest with 1k ? year old trees
    [IMG]

check out the size of that one
    [IMG]

on one trail, a fallen tree prevented us from getting through. the trunk was about 5 foot thick....LOL clearing that.

i didn't take a lot of pics, though it's great to get out and find some riding were it wasn't too hot. at @ 6k feet, it never got to the 90s. meantime at home it was over 100.

the sequoias may not be as majestic as the sierras, redwoods and yosemite, but the proximity from home (3 hours away) is hard to beat this beautiful place.
