That's a long action, what caliber is it?
Figured. Didn't think you whack pasture poodles with an 06 or a .300WM.
I was guessing .270.......25-06 is even better for that task.
I'm all for people shooting stuff, but no one has ever been dumb enough to give me a gun. That being said I'll be riding with WayneJ.
I bought that M77 almost 40 years ago for $300. I knew nothing about the gun or the caliber at the time. I think I did good.
75 gn Hornady HP somewhere over 3000 fps is my varmint load. Very flat shooting and packs a wallop.
Some folks may consider the following pic a little gruesome so I'll just supply a link for it.
Dead hog showing exit wound.
We used to hunt them with a .17. Been a few years but IIRC, a 20 grain bullet at 4300fps. They'd pretty well explode when hit.
Im in. I will ride with Wayne and just shoot the shit around the campfire.
I didn't think you would try and ride with me........
I am with Wayne I can shoot anytime, besides I need to look for my tools
Goose, I have tools, just bring a spare tube. Im sure one of us will have a flat!!
I installed Michelin heavy duty tubes so problem should be solved.
Having said that maybe I will bring a few patches.
See you boys there, figure I can sling the AR over the camelback and hit the trails
How do I fit this on the Ducati?
That M1919 is a lot more fun on a tripod with an T&E !
I say we man up and do dictum ridge this year!!
I wish I had some 4x4 pics of those nasty stair steps.
Ok, which way did you want to go. George and I went down the ledges but Chris and I went up them. Down was much easier. If were doing that, we should go ahead and do the ATV trail too while we are there.
I will be doing Union Springs that weekend also.
