If you follow the Jackson, MS or the LA thread, you should know that we are having a camp and ride this coming weekend. 990 trailblazer has invited us to camp on his farm and to lead a ride Saturday and Sunday.

    Here is the schedule.

    • Camp Friday night, April 19th
    • Ride departs Saturday at 8:00am
    • Camp Saturday night, April 20th
    • Ride departs Sunday at 8:00am

This is an open event. No fees associated with this ride or camping. Participate in as little or as much as you like. The camp will be the same place used for the Don't Fall Rally, Rigby Farms, Carpenter MS (between Utica and Port Gibson).

Again, this is not an organized event. We are just a group of friends going to camp, ride, tell lies around the fire, and maybe drink an adult beverage or two. There will be no facilities available at the camp site. Bring what you need and pack out whatever you bring. All are welcome to attend. (Unless you are no fun to be around. If that's the case, stay home.):deal

I am still on injured list so I will be driving down Friday afternoon in my truck. If anyone in the Jackson area needs me to haul something, I'll be glad to do so. Call or PM me.

Saturday, the ride will be eating lunch at Vines in Centreville, MS. If anyone would like to catch up to the ride there, feel free. I will also be there in my truck and can haul any gear back to the camp site if you wish not to carry it.

If you are unfamiliar with the location, and need directions, LOOK HERE, or send me a PM.

The weather should be perfect! Hope to see you there!:clap

There was talk of splitting the ride up into 2 groups to make it more manageable. (Depending on number of riders). Knightwork and I were on the testride last Saturday and it was a blast! So he and I will offer to lead a early risers group and move at a reasonable pace. Figure the 990Trailblazer ride will leave a little later and probably catch us by lunch! :D

Is the Sunday ride a repeat of the Sat ride or something else? I'm working this Sat so some of my folks can do the Warrior Dash. There is a slight chance I get catch the Sunday ride.

No, the Sunday ride will be a different route. It should be completed by 2pm.

EDIT: Just checked weather again... Friday night low of 38 degrees?!?!?! Good sleeping weather!!!

I didn't see a coffee maker either. I don't think it was in the top box. It must have had a sterio in it because when he left, it was blaring "Gona catch me riding' dirty".

Thanks for the ride Bob. I had a great time riding with y'all Sunday.
Had a good visit with Larry from TN. and met Jim from NOLA on the '03 KiLleR.

I missed the camp and Satty ride, but more than made up for it on Sunday.
Ended up being 300+ miles for me.
Actually rode 200+ with my son on Satty in BNF. Great weekend!! :ricky
