I might be in the Phoenix area for a night during Thanksgiving week and would like to know of any good, easy to get to camp grounds. Looking for something with showers hopefully and maybe a Waffle House close by. Did see a KOA on Google maps, but a locals suggestion would be nice.

North of Phoenix is the Lake Pleasant area. There are a bunch of different options all with a Lake view. Pleasant Harbour has grassy spots for a tent and hot showers. PM me with any specific questions.

Sorry for the late response since I have been out of the country.... But thanks for all the replies! Still working on my planning since it always seems like things pop up when I have time off from work!
