Been looking for an epic RR to follow along with.
Get on with it man.....
Come on...Dave Barr did it.
Thanks for sharing your awesome stories with us Doug. We would be so much the less if you just sold books and charged for speaking "engagements".
can't wait, can't wait
in (again!) but i'm gonna wait patiently, just watching @locus's avatar.
I blush to admit.
And he's whiney cuz we seceded first. Ages, actually, before the Fart of Dixie.

Not going to wish you luck.......you don't need it, your already living it.

If anyone can do it on a Harley, you can Doug.
Looking forward to following your progress.

i belive us south carolinians seceded first and ifin yall aint careful we'll be doin it again
Fantastic! What an adventure!! Hat`s off to you.... Now tell us all about the support crew, sponsorship, doctors, fixers etc that you will have along LOL ... Just messin`..... Can`t wait to read more and see the pics once you are on the road.... Slainte
First, where did you get those forks? They look a little spindley. And can you provide a parts list (for our humor)? With that new geometry in play, what does that do to the handling? Oh wait, considering what you usually ride it must handle quite nice eh?
Second, I have some acquaintences who made the same trip (and they filmed it!) but lamented that they left too early and found the rivers to be quite high. Isn't this going to be a problem for you as well? Or are you hoping to catch them still frozen over and just blast across the icy top?
Third, I don't know why you do this to yourself (travel ridiculous distances on hideous equipment), but it sure is entertaining for yours truly and company! Thanks!
Safe travels my friend.
Have fun Doug, I am looking forward to this summer's reading!! Thanks for bringing us along!
Take inappropriate equipment as far from civilization as possible. Otherwise it's just golfing...
Only a Doug ride could generate 200 posts with the bike still in customs.
have fun, bud
Can't wait to read this one, it'll be Epic, Homeric!!!!
