They ain't all that heathen, you know. In fact, they already have a bizarre religion replete with its own version of Blood Atonement.

You can still use it to charge GPS, Spot, digicam etc, and it will save some oz. of gas if you are used to charge gizmos from onboard electric system (i wonder how much it would be scaled to RTW trip). It's just a matter of how to harness that free energy we have every given day

The last 2 days have been on the new trans siberian highway, east of chita. what an amazing road. its new, wide, perfect, built on a raised bed, the cost & time to built it must have been staggering. I really didnt know the Russians COULD build such a road!

But all thats over now, as today I head north & east for 3500km, on dirt.
I have new tires in yakutsk, 1200km away, which is good, as my rear is a bit slick. Its sunny today, I hope it stays like that.

Great stuff as always, Doug. The earlier quip about the solar charging panel and you creating the first hybrid HD made me laugh. Good wit from that postor.

As I follow lots of the remote locations you post about, I'm overwhelmed with two thoughts... Most of the "civilized" world has no clue how so much of the "real" world lives. And, you should really be a consultant for National Geographic. :deal They also don't have all the clues, although they are on the right track.

    Keep on keepin' on, Doug.

I made it to Tynda, where I was waylaid by a couple bikers that were watching my spot & waiting for me.

I didnt know that to get to the Road of Bones, I had to take the Road of Stones.

so far, this road is as fucked up as a football bat!
