looks like R100 heads fitting 32mm carbs... verify by measuring the valves.

What are the date codes on the heads and what sizes are the valves?
what is the diameter of the intake spigot and do they have the thread hole below the exhaust port threads?

Whatever the fuck these heads are they aren't the original heads off of an 82 R100RS!

Remember my thread about swapping 82 RS heads onto a 83 RT?

    Motherfucker.

I don't know who I am more pissed at:
    1) the seller for misrepresenting the parts
    2) myself for trusting the seller and not looking closer

So before I ask for a refund and to return the parts....is there any possible way an 1982 R100RS had 32mm carbs?

I don't think so. In addition, I'm pretty sure the 82RS would use the same heads as an 83RT.
I'll leave it to one of the experts here to confirm.

To answer one of your questions, there's no way an 82 R100RS came from the factory with 32mm carbs.
And to answer another, yes, an 82 RS and an 83 RT have the same heads.
If you need some used heads, I've got a set from an 84 RT that I just disassembled. I was fortunate enough to be able to ride the bike before breaking it up for parts and the engine ran well. I know no history of the heads, other than they ran well on the bike.

"So, what are you gonna do w/ em?"

Hopegully I will send them back to the seller and get a refund. I'll only be out about $30 bucks for shipping.

If I don't get a refund I'll sell them EDITED to remove childish ranting.

I would really like to hit something right now.

I'm fucking off of two wheels for even longer now. I feel like quitting. I'm too fucking poor to have a hobby and motorcycling is my only hobby. :cry

If it was an Ebay seller that suckered you, Many of us would like to know who the culprit is.
There are some that are assholes, and some that are just ignorant, but too arrogant too admit it.
You can PM me if you don't wanna broadcast his seller id.

Here are a pair I have off an '83 R100RT, which I think would be the same as those from an '82 RS. 40mm carb spigots, exhaust valves are not original. Mine have sequential part numbers cast into them. Shouldn't yours? Notice how mine have L10 / R10 cast into them? That means links / recht, left side or right side, 1000cc. Yours have L8/R8, meaning 800cc. Not sure what the other stuff means.

Those would be 81-87 R80 heads.
    32mm carbs
    42mm intake
    38mm exhaust
The rocker block bushings in the head are 1976-87

Thanks everyone for confirming the heads and enduring my childish ranting and boo-hooing. :shog

I really shouldn't post angry and drunk. I took the day off of work to wait on the power company to replace a gas meter. I was eagerly awaiting this date so I could do a ring job and get the bike back up and running. I get the heads and boom....no joy.:cry

Believe it or not he happens to have four freshly built heads and sent me the wrong ones. I never thought that someone could have two sets of heads on the shelf.
