    A friend of mine took this photo of an interesting looking motard at Loudon over the weekend. The guy said he'd built it himself, but I was wondering what he might have started out with. Thanks.

    I think I talked to that guy a few years back. CR500 or something in there. He was developing the software for the ignition, and maybe fuel injection. Fuzzy memory...

    yeah, probably different bike. But there was a guy up there that was fuel injecting a CR500 motard.. :lol3

    The frame looks very close to an EXC, the swing a has me stuffed, but it is a PDS setup, so that limits the choices (Edit, looks like a post 03 EXC swing arm), engines chain is on the wrong side for a newer KTM two stroke though (Edit, the old 500 looks to have the chain on the right)...

    I'm going to say custom job made from several different bikes...

    Thats a modified 550 in a more current KTM PDS frame. Its probably around a 94-96 550 engine. The logos have been shaved, but the cylinder reed intake gives it away.
