Anyone out there taken delivery yet? I'm still chompin at the bit. And does anyone know how to confirm exactly when your bike is available? Cause everything I hear from my dealer is still totally vague.

Mine was originally supposed to be delivered in a week or so, but that was pushed back to late October as of 2 weeks ago.

2 weeks ago I was told I would get it within 2 weeks.

    No, I don't have it.

    2 more weeks they say.

What does this mean? I've got LOTS of pictures.
But, as to an update: My dealer told me yesterday that the bikes are actually here, sitting in a warehouse back east waiting for the 17th release date to be shipped out across the country. Why? Just some BMW idiots' marketing idea. Makes it more exciting, I guess. To hold them back from us I mean. Gee, I'm so excited. No, wait a minute. Let me just have another look at that feeling. That's not excited! That's PISSED!!!

Got some info yesterday that the ABS bikes went down the production line first and some are here. Non ABS bikes are in production or have been produced and are on their way to the boat or are already on board.

Couldn't get an exact date on mine (grey, loaded w/o ABS) because of the active hurricane season in progress. :puke1

Been waiting 9 months, what's another week or two.

Zaner, that would jive with my experience since mine is non-ABS. I'm expecting a November arrival (including trucking St. John's)

That's actually good news. If they're at the dealer on the 18th or 19th, then we should get our bikes at or around the 22nd. That would give me 2 weeks before winter here in QC.... :(

Yep. I believe my dealer mentioned something about the warehouse being in Montreal. That means another good week till they start showing up on the west coast.

Today was supposed to be the release date for us. Sitting here nervously biting my nails and.....nothing! No fireworks, no fanfare, no phonecalls, nothing on the news. Nothing!

    Drum rolls.........and...

    Nothing.

I'm gonna give my dealer a visit today. If I don't get mine before the 1st of Oct, no point in taking delivery when I won't even be able to ride my bike. It's already getting cold here.... So I'll just let them hold it until April '09...

I've read on the Quebec DS site "Moto Aventure Quebec" that they'll have the F800GS at the GS Challenge this weekend. You might want to head to Mont-Tremblant for a test run.:rofl
