Man I love those high dollar ridin' gloves! Must be an Alabama thing.
Good luck Doug!
Easy on them gloves. Some of us in Kansas use em too. Course I've always had Southern leanings.
Penn Wells Hotel.
They are arriving!
. Seems like ALL my north Alabama friends are still fightin'.
Ride smooth, brother.
Never thought I'd cheer for #88, but GO DOUG!!

Northern New Jersey is pretty nice, too!
Speaking of seeing the racers cross the Golden Gate Bridge ...
Our club (established in 1904) made a motion at our weekly meeting last night to contribute $1 more than the Oakland MC club (est. in 1907) is contributing to help buy the Cannonball Racers and crew lunch when everyone gets to San Francisco in a couple of weeks ... wiser heads prevailed and we eventually voted to join Oakland and contribute the exact same amount ...
So welcome preparations are under way here in the Bay Area, and we're looking forward to seeing you all when you get here; Good luck!!
see you in the parking lot,
from last night. dougs bike #88 in the back, this one...had issues. I gather it was recently acquired by present owner and was "running like a sewing machine" but it has developed some problems. like running on one cylinder...they fiddled with that thing for hours last night. the guy in black sounded like an aussie (hope I'm right) and knew his shit. they were really burning the midnight oil trying to get it straightened out. don't think they did...
I think in the old ISDT's they used to call this parc ferme.
I think that meant "thats where the Italians cheat and replace parts at night they aren't supposed to".
or something like that.
Josh bike (#89) had issues that was solved about midnight and he was off in the start!
Doug arrived in Wellsboro about 16.22! I hope the Indian posse ganged up!
you really do take some great pictures.
It's great to see the local clubs supporting the events.
Are the party/finish line details going to be released?
