DAMN! Beautiful Indian!
From the start
If anybody figures out the route from Kfalls to the coast, I'd sure like to hear it.
Macin Vela needs a '40 cyl and piston. Anyone know of anything in the PA or OHIO area?
cool. I was up in the mob in front of that building (the motorcycle museum) and this looked like a much better setting. when Doug came by I waved and forgot to shoot. so I'm glad someone got him.
I tried to yell, wave and take pictures, none came out that well.
This was my 1st trip to the museum, I spent a few hours, well worth the 11 bucks.
Link to the rest of the start pics.
Found this on one of the Riders Blogs - I have no idea whether it is accurate.

I am no great photographer, so I apologize up front.
They look great, thanks for posting them heffa.
It's was fun to be asked to participate by the organizers!
Here's what Ben, our contact with the Cannonball organizers, had to say about September 23rd:
"The bikes will be leaving Rohnert Park the morning of the 23rd and will take the 1 down to the Presido Yacht Club/Fort Baker through Sausalito. They will arrive at PYI between 1050-1120.
The group will depart at 12:30 heading to Dudley Perkins Harley-Davidson via this route. As soon as we exit the toll booth; we will exit onto 25th street to re-group quickly in the dirt parking lot just passed the employee lot and be picked up by 2 SFPD solo escorts to ride out front.
We will arrive at the final staging area (Costco just before Perkins) to allow 1, 2, 3 place (and any other winners) to lead the pack and arrive at Perkins to be announced.
There will be food/drink/music Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson, in South San Francisco, from like 11 - 4ish."
Allycatdad, I've asked if Ben has information on the route from Klamath Falls to the coast, and will post here if he does ...
See you in the parking lot,

Yep, they look great to me too. Thanks and more please.
RTWDOUG; I don't mean to hi-jack your thread. Thought this would be a good place to put some of my pics. Hope you don't mind.
I just got back from Wellsboro. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet Doug, but his Indian was there.
Here's some of the pics I shot.
Not Doug's Indian.

I loved the etch a sketch roll map box....
Number 18 parked behind me at Davenport last week...glad to see he made it....
super! they needed to bump start him to get him going. best shirt in the whole rally. pretty cool guy too, he was hanging out wednesday night at the hilton parking lot with the rest of the assembled tire kickers and gawkers.
I got up at five to meet some friends from the Hartford area to be there. Very cool to see all those old bikes starting up and heading out. Museum is reall something else, needs some Eruo bikes though.
....and here I thought that Number8teen was a She?
he may have the edge. he's the only one who rode to NY I believe. everyone else trucked/trailered. I'm not knocking them but he's had a good chance to let the bike get settled in.
