Looks like that madrone has suffered an impact before. :eek1
I'm glad he's OK
Glad he's ok!
I bet that leaves a pretty big knot in your throat to know you just chucked a vintage bike down a hillside though.
Glad to hear it's just minor damage.
Doug is dipping the front wheel in the pacific! Another milestone, check!:fyyff
You rock, man!
I just got word # 57 is through the finish, so Dough should be right around there if not, in already.
Wonder how Darrel (#52) did after his little trip down the side of the hill. Was he able to fix the bike and finish today or not?
Oh man this is FUN!!!! Looking forward to the next report from the horse's mouth!!
According to his website/blog, he went to the hospital and found his foot was broken bad enough that they scheduled surgury to put some pins in it. He says he is disappointed he won't be able to ride to the finish...
Owch! Glad it wasn't any worse than it was. Thanks for the up-date.
I feel for him. Bloody unlycky accident.
Doug rides into Dudley Perkins shootin!
Oh wait, that's a camera in his right hand, not a gun.
Doug brought out the smiles.
Nice to meet ya Doug & congratulations on finishing. I'm sure the ride home will still be an adventure.
Paying the toll.
This may work to other pics I took today.
Congrats on making it this far Doug! You going to rest up a few days before your next leg?
Thanks for the pics Adamco2, some good ones in there !
Congradulations to all the CannonBallers that made it across the bridge today .
Really satisfying to see Shinya Kimura make it to the finish . He and his friend have had his 1915 Indian down to the crankcases several times in the last 2 weeks and yet they have it going again. Great effort!
Kudos to everyone that even started this ride. Big Congrats to those who made it to the finish. And especially to Doug.
Doug, now all you got to do is ride it back home to Alabama.
