Don't think so, Kev. That one's pretty fresh in the stable. I'll sink a zillion into it and then my ADD fueled vehicle fetish will kick in and right about then things might be different. It'll probably be a while though.

I just bought new Old Man Emu suspension, bushings, shocks, and all that crap for it. Will have 'em on before the month's out and will slather the entire underside and frame in POR-15, etc. She'll be good for the next guy, too. :thumb

Isn't the '59 23 window like the Vdub fanatic's holy grail? Ten large though. That guy must see something pretty special that the rest of us mortals can't, eh?

I watched a redneck neighbor of mine strip one of those in his front yard and take the almost perfect body & glass to the recycler. He used the rest of it to build a sand rail. There aren't too many sand rail running spots around Anchorage.

That same shithead used to beat his dog in the backyard when he'd come home from work. He apparently was assuming the dog had a memory for whatever it had done. Life was not kind to that little douche-bag, dog beating, rig molester.

Shouldn't have been, either. Randy was his name and he sucked.

I'll never forget watching him and one of his buddies strap that van on a trailer and hussle it off to the King Street smasher.

Come on, slackers. Show us what you got done. This was a little sound-proofing project to make the truck a little quieter. It has a complete piece of crap in it now for tunes and I'll start rooting around for an old school shaft style Alpine or similar and stuff an amplified sub behind the seats. Nothing outrageous but a guy can build a pretty hi-zoot sound system straight out of the craigslist electronics parts section. Odd how some of those nutbars go through equipment. My plan is to build a $1500-2000 system for 250 bucks and the bonus is that I just might meet an amazing array of craigslist whack jobs along the way :thumb :lol3

Holy crap! A politician's ads slathered across a short bus! How much more truth in advertising can you get than that right there. :lol3

...and I only thought I was bored, Friar. Once that project ate up Saturday and was looking like it was going to eat all of Sunday I developed a strong desire to do almost anything else or nothing. I *hate* rooting around on a floorboard. Guaranteed visit to the chiropractor shortly afterward and yep... got in on Tuesday because there's nothing quite like getting pushed and shoved around after two days of groveling on your back and knees.

I'll tell you what though. Heli gave me a lightweight foam rubber pad for kneeling and that thing is the absolute coolest for this kind of work. Definitely kinder on the caps than any set of kneepads I've sported.

Hey cool! My rig has an ADV sticker too!

Yeah, I drive a minivan. :huh :lol2 Why, you might ask? Well for the mileage and......

It can carry a motorcycle with room enough to sleep right beside it.

Comet and I have gone cross country a few times like this including taking the Duc to Deal's Gap. One of MY best rides ever!

Have to roll the bars down and compress the forks but the KLR fits too.

OMG, even a HARLEY! :lol3 Whole lotta stigma driving a minivan but works for me and Comet don't care. :D Mark H.

:rofl Nice! The bike stays warm and dry too.

I took my 636 to Deal's Gap too. I also agree, it was an awesome ride along with riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. I rode there though, ADV style :norton I'm thinking of going again in 2014.

It's a 1993 Subaru a massive 660cc 4wd:rofl I got it as a jigsaw puzzle ( traded a bicycle for it) rebuilt engine & reassembled the rig --wasn't missing a single bolt or clip--the original owner was OCD about bagging & labeling things he took apart
