Anybody seen this thing? Interesting...
'98 DR 650 for $800 http://hickory.craigslist.org/mcy/3956858024.html
No title, not street legal. It could make a good woods toy or parts bike.
hehe... that big wheeled dr350,, "really fast bike" hahahahaha
There was an inmate here that was connected to the company doing those conversions and selling kits. They mainly started out in the southwest to ride the sand dunes. It has ATV tires but the kits usually came with paddle tires for the rear and ribs for the front.
I've seen this done on TW200's before, but never a DR350. Interesting idea, but I don't think I'd like it on a tall DR350. The TW200 looks like a more appealing option for conversion. This one has been in the Flea Market for a while. If it were closer, I would have bought it already.
If you guys come across any decent cars in the $3k range on CL, let me know. Looking for a new daily driver. I especially like the Subaru Forester, but also interested in just about anything Civic/Accord/Camry/Corolla lineup to a small SUV like a Blazer or Jimmy. Heck, even a Buick. Single owner old lady cars would be increibly awesome.
'72 Norton Commando in Raleigh. Yes, please!

Not happening. The kids that want this thing ain't making that kind of money per year.
That's not even a Big Ruckus. :huh
Well, duh, it was lowered!
They shamelessly molested everything I like about the ruckus.
You didn't deserve your fate.
IDK, I just don't get that TW mutant thing.
If you get in anything that needs you to have that rear, the front is going to bury you.
Now, stud or chain the rear and put a ski on the front and you'd have something!
Someone is giving away a DRZ.
I was price checking mine and stumbled on this. Looks like a clean E model. "Valves adjusted" on a $1300 DRZ could mean "I think I blew up the top end" but since it's paired with a carb cleaning best scenario could be $20 in parts and a fun afternoon of DRZ tinkering. Worst case scenario you get a project and still end up ahead on a $2000 bike.
I've concluded if I finished the resurrection of my 12 year old firebreak eating monster I could huck it for 3k with some patience. Unfortunately it's farkled exactly how I want it. I wouldn't come close to recouping what I put into it. And I'd end up paying out for another farkled dirt thumper in a couple years any ways. All just to pay off my truck a couple months early. Tempting but I'll stick with the original plan of keeping it until it explodes.
Personal rule that I never buy a bike from someone that armoralls motorcycle tires
And when it explodes you rebuild it and make it bigger.
That really is trying too hard, isn't it?
You get me. To bad the gas tank leaks now. And the battery doesn't hold a charge overnight. And I've never replaced the sprockets. And the brakes suck. And my garage mechanic cut down levers are ready to be replaced with actual shorty levers.
But when it starts and doesn't leak and doesn't have to stop it's great.
Yeah the seat is probably slick as cat shit on a linoleum floor.
