Once upon a time three friends went for a Saturday ride in Arizona. A series of bad decisions led up to the ride below. No names are posted to protect the innocent/ignorant.

I don't think the hard stuff is going to come down for quite a while. I say we play through...

It is unusual to see elephants above the snow line in this part of the country.

    This will not end well...

    Are we having fun yet?

As we relaxed at the lake, little did we know a snow storm was dropping several inches and yahoos in trucks were tearing up the snow packed trail we had just come down and making it impassable.

    Play through, huh?

    Is this the fun part?

    Uh oh, more snow...

    The new winter exercise craze.

These are from last Saturday. When the other suspects awake from their naps maybe they can fill in the weeks activities through today. :evil

It only took a week and three attempts to retrieve the bikes...:evil

We had to abandon the bikes and get a ride out with a bunch of drunk youngsters in four wheel drives..:bluduh

    Attempt 1
found us returning Sunday morning with a four wheel drive that had a snow plow on it. When we got back up there, there was two feet of fresh powder.. Tried most of the day to get to the bikes and left empty handed...

Let me get some pics loaded to go with the story..........

    Snow SUCKS>..

You really know it's gone tits up when you are getting quotes for helicopter rentals.

Our bikes have been vacationing in the Bradshaw mountains where we had to abandon them a week ago.

Cheaper and better to rent or borrow a snow mobile and use a sheet of plywood (3/4") as a sled to pull behind it. Lay the bike on its side, strap it on and away you go.

That would be a Ford sled, complete with mudflaps. I had to leave her behind. I hope it will still be there when I get a chance to go back.
