Is anyone riding this weekend in the vicinity of Trout Run Valley - east of Lost River over on the VA side?

There is a seasonal forest road that is only open from 10/1 - 12/31 that runs up to Little Sluice Mtn.

I am planning on camping there in 2 weeks and was hoping to find out if the gate had been opened with all of the federal bruh hah hah in place.

If anyone wants to check out a seldom accessible ridge line 4x4 road for me - please let me know....

Bwalsh - I am sure you are familiar with the area... its FR88 and 1719.

Yeah, I've been up it a couple times. :evil I've been wanting to place a couple tags up there. I was just within four miles of it yesterday evening. I don't know if its open or not.

No promises but If I get a chance I'll stop by and see...and ride it! :D

    Muchas, Muchas Gracias.

If you do get to ride the ridge and have the time - check out the Southern terminus of 1719 where it clears out closer to the top of Litlle Schloss. Thats where I was hoping to throw up the canvas tent for the weekend. Curious to the road condition and how narrow it is this year. Was hoping to take a full size truck - but would love not to scratch the hell out of it :rofl

Great day of riding, in part thanks to the shut down. Hit hold mine road and PA 125 and covered bridge. Leaves are changing up here. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Sure, you can always drop it later. Are going to be able to swing by Natural Chimneys this weekend?

We're going to be changing Doug's strom tires sunday at 1:30 if anyone wants to swing by and bullshit. Doug is providing the beer. Pm me for directions. You can check out my cornerspin track.:evil

Also, if anyone has some womens size 8 boot (street or mx) for sale or give away, let me know. Sarah and Emily have outgrown the boots Antonio gave us (thanks again for letting us use them and I gave them away per our agreement). There are a few pair in the flea market but as the kids are getting older they are getting more fashion conscious. :huh

I was actually planning to be at the chimneys this weekend. Wife is out of town and i was taking my girls camping one last time. But unless you are in the S500 they wouldn't let you in. I am in Verona instead. I am bummed that i can't hang with the dudes at the chimneys. Although it might be more rowdy than my girls are used to.

Mtmflow - i am not surprised to hear that you are helping a brother out this weekend. If i wasn't tied up, i would love to stop in. Your track intrigues me. I wish i had one. Good on you, and have fun with the girls on the track. You keep proving what a great guy you are.

I've hiked all that area with Evil Chucky the week before hunting season and based on the few trailers we saw up there near that big clearing at the top the road up must be pretty good, but that was 4yrs ago. I always wanted to go back and camp under those massive hemlocks at the top on the southern end of the ridge, towards Little Schloss. Its open and flat up there with fabulous views.
