I have no idea where you would sign up to be a course worker. I would guess that once the web site gets up to date there might be a link to contact the promoter. I think the chances of getting a free entry or expenses paid would be highly unlikely.

I was bummed that we didnt get to race through town but that would have been too much to hope for. Just being able to say that I raced there once is pretty cool. I'd love to give it another go....

if a club is putting it on again, find out which club. They always need people for these events.

My wife and I had a short talk about the GP last night and supposedly taking a month old baby on a ferry, into crowds and around a bunch of dirt chucking dirtbikes is not a good idea.

    Who knew?

Actually, it is good to expose them to lots of different stuff, otherwise they can't handle it when they get older. Seriously, it helps build their immune system. Of course you could always start training her to stay home with the kid and you take off with the boys.......

I was exposed to motorcycles at a very young age, yet I have no immunity to them whatsoever.

I was only a few months old when mom & dad took me to the ISDT. Didn't seem to have any ill effects.

    The Dream Continues

We are proud to announce that the Catalina Island Grand Prix is in the planning process and hopefully will occur this year on December 11th-15th. This year, we are planning to add a day of motocross on Friday. There will be qualifiers on the mainland for the motocross, with dates and information announced soon. Saturday and Sunday will be like last time, with multiple classes of grand prix racing. You will have to apply for the grand prix by filling out an application and sending it in to P.O. Box 1686, Avalon, CA, 90704. The application for the Grand Prix will be available in September. Each application will be dated when it is received and riders will be selected on their ability level as well as the order that their application is received. A rider list will be posted on this website announcing the selected riders in October. If you are on the posted rider list, you will have until October 19, 2013 to send in your check or money order to the same P.O. Box listed above. Stay tuned for more information in September!
