    Hello,

I'm a long time lurker that finally joined! I already spoke to HighVelocity gear and am interested in the Exhibition Pros. However I don't see enough people taking advantage of the group buy...looks like we'll be waiting a while... :huh

    Hello,

BTW why aren't Dainese or Alpinestars gloves used by racers (Rossi, Hayden, etc.) CE rated? Do they feel that theirs would pass regardless since they come out ok in crashes? :huh

    Good Luck!

    Hello again,

Personally, I try not to compare "retail" gear with what the Pro's wear. They get stuff custom built and get paid to wear it. I'd be surprised if the top riders gloves were "retail" units. Most importantly though, they can replace their apparel after every ride if necessary.

Also, comparing racetrack surfaces to what we all have to commute on isn't exactly a "fair" comparison....Lastly, the best of the best simply crash less often than we do ;)

Here's what a Dainese "sponsored" glove does for you: GRAPHIC

    http://www.ducatipilot.com/showthread.php?t=103

Van of Ducatipilot.com was wearing a pair of Dainese gloves that were stitched with NYLON.

The bottom line in my opinion: they don't build them to CE spec's because it would cost significantly more and when considering the numbers these manufacturers deal in, those are HUGE numbers...

The other factor is the rider mentality...... it only takes one time to get ground down to the bone... <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

We're also doing a group buy with Ducatipilot.com so hopefully that will help with the overall numbers.

So once you have 10 orders fulfilled for the gloves then how long does it take for actual delivery...?

Not doubting your product or your integrity, just wondering how this is true when the Exhibition Pro's have mesh on the back? How well does this particular mesh hold up compared to the leather found on the other gloves?

Are you familiar with Racer High End's? Your gloves would be replacing those. I've never worn a more comfortable, better fitting glove. How would yours compare? Esp. the exhibition pro's since what I would need is a good summer glove.

    Good question:

That mesh is simply a cosmetic addition, the base material is leather.

As for comparison's, I'm really too biased to say. In my opinion there isn't a better built, stronger glove available anywhere, from anybody!

When I say "glove" I am referring to our glove "chassis". This chassis can be incorporated into ANY style/design...

I'm not familiar with your current gloves but CycleWorld and WebBikeWorld have both done reviews:

Not a very enthusiastic response, is it the economy? Or are people simply not interested in protective motorcycle gloves?

There's been over 1300 views and just a few takers? Please let us know what we're missing.

We guarantee our gloves to be the pinnacle of protective motorcycle gloves. We build our gloves for the crash not the show...

I am very interested in 2 or possibly 3 pairs of the Prodigy/Formula gloves, according to whether or not my riding buddy wants to participate.

Accurate sizing information would be important, I hate sending stuff back. Also, I am still unsure of the group pricing. In your second post you specify that, "Ultimately, our group buy price will be $180.00. However, we're setting up a group buy for www.ducatipilot.com and ADVrider members. So, as a one time hook-up we're offering our Prodigy and Formula gloves for $149.00". You also have $157.50 listed as the group buy price in other posts. I am probably missing something, but just want to be sure $149 is correct before committing. Finally I would also like an answer to a question asked earlier by another inmate as to where the gloves are actually manufactured.

Thank you very much for setting up this group buy.

Thanks for the posts, this project has been a long time in coming and our little recession has completely leveled our expectations.

We're looking to find a European Distributor, as our gloves are more relevant to people within the EU..apparently..
Unfortunately, I'm still surprised at how little interest there is overall. We couldn' have asked for a better CycleWorld review but all in all the results were far less than expected.

    Any idea's?

PS- Pretty sure I posted Country of Origin ;)- Pakistan

    Sizing:

www.highvelocitygear.com/sizing.htm USE the EU portion of the chart please..

    $149.00 is correct...

We'll be getting Exhibition Pro's no matter what. The Prodigy and Formula gloves will be the models we need to hit the numbers on...

We've limited our phone contact due to the recession, so email is the most efficient way to get to us. Just in case though:
