    I really do dislike him.

He's a fantastic player, an absolute stud. But I allow his pissiness and diving to really upset me. Seems like most of the time the refs buy it. And when they don't, he pouts up a storm.

Imagine him and Messi on the same team, him working the left and Messi the right. :uhoh

What do you have against large muscular men, their torsos glistening with sweat and their firm buttocks and thighs pumping with exertion?

I agree, he'd be a much better player if he'd stop acting like Drogba :D

You're right. I can't understand why anyone would think that's :ymca.

It must be all the bum-patting.

:lol3 Drogba doesn't pout as much, nor act as entitled.

He does seem to have a balance problem, tho. Probably his feet are too small or something. :lol3

Bloody hell, could not agree more.

Fantastic player (the goal tonight was sublime) but what a fucking petulant prick - he's a dick. I am very surprised Man U fans (or even Ferguson - we know how he is about loyalty - ask Jaap Stam) forgave him for all his bullshit last summer with his on/off move to Real.

Stam pissed Fergie off with things he revealed in his Autobiography.
Fergie later said selling Stam was a good financial move, but likely a mistake as he went on to play quite a few good years despite being almost 30 when they sold him.

The irony being, he's back working for Utd as a scout

But I agree, it wouldn't upset me too much if they sold him but I doubt with the economy being the way it is, anyone could afford the asking price.

His temperament is better suited to Serie A or La liga

I didn't know that about Stam - that is funny.

Not a big fan of Ferguson (obviously :D) but his loyalty to his players and to Man U is to be admired and anyone who dares to not return that loyalty to him and to Man U is swiftly kicked to touch - hence I just wonder if there was more the whole BS this summer than we heard about in the press :dunno

I wouldnt be in the least bit surprised to see him wearing all white next year....

Ronaldo needs to take a leaf out of Rooney's book. Hard as nails and he can dish it out as well as take it but most (all ?) of the time he just gets the fuck on with it - he was limping earlier this game and I have no doubt that was genuine. ROnaldo hits the deck and rolls about in agony if you so much as flutter your eyelashes at him. That's not the way the English/British game is played.

    Leeds? highly doubtful :lol3

Rooney can be a stroppy bastard as well, but I think he's added a whole new dimension to his game since playing/training alongside Ronaldo.

He used to be like a bull in a China shop coming and going. Now he seems to play smarter going forward and breaks faster into some great defense stretching positions, and can finish with either a rocket or the deftest of touches ...he's still a lumbering Shrek looking oaf about to fell a forest with his tackles from behind though, but there's no denying he has heart :lol3

You'll get no argument from me on that one - I think Ferguson has done a pretty good job with Rooney was well.

I avoided this thread because I had taped the game.

But good golly, what a great goal. He consistently has one of the most powerful shots in the world. I admire his game, but not his character.
