Did you get a sidecar??? BTW Campout at my place Jan 25-27
Not yet, but I did pick up a a 2013 GSA. Wish I could make it but I already committed to a trip down to the river that weekend.
Well he did have a purty mouth, lol
Ok 'Que gurus, I'm looking for a place within 150 miles or so of Dallas to saunter out to this Saturday. If you had to pick one place, where would you terrorize? New bike demands to have her legs stretched and my fat belly demands BBQ. I'm all ears
Try that donn's place down in Austin area . Sure looks nice to me. Yeah. I know that is closer to 200. Sue me.
The ribs at Millers in Belton rival Loco Coyote's....No ...REALLY they do.
...but only avail on Fri or Sat....
My vote is Loco Coyote, eat and then ride some of the great roads around there
I'll agree the LC has the winning combo of great Q and great roads. The others have good Q but you have to go out of your way to get good roads.
Of course, I'm on the SW side of FTW, so Glenn Rose is all country for me. From Plano, its a whole lot of city to get the country.
GHOST:[My vote is Loco Coyote, eat and then ride some of the great roads around there]
That's all well n good.....BUT...There are roads in other areas too. YES..I kno Belton is pretty populated with cars n stuff. The roads are close by & it only takes a few minutes to get to em.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Our Austin/SA friends might find it a bit harder to get to Loco for a ride. Belton is a fine spot for a centralized meetin n eatin. Still not too far for the DFW folks...Waco Temple Killeen & Austin a no brainer & SA still doable. Even the Bryan/CS folks might come sometime.
I keep forgetting to post this one up. Smokin Joes up in Davis, Ok. It is a little small place and when I ate there the weekend before Christmas the line was out the door the whole time we were there.
I had 1 meat pulled pork plate. As you can see it would be tough to leave here hungry:
Everyone liked what they ordered and no one left hungry.
Hmmmmm decisions decisions.. I may have to ride down do Millers for lunch and Donn's for dinner. Tough work but somebody's gotta do it, I'll report up when I get back . Thanks!
Stopped at the original Hammond's BBQ in Glenrose last Wednesday. They had all you can eat BBQ buffet for $10.99. NOT Loco Coyote quality but it was ok and the price is hard to beat! Brisket and sausage was pretty good but ribs were way over cooked. I would do it again for a BBQ lunch on the run
If I remember right Hammonds had the best looking waitress's anywhere....I can't remember what I ordered or if it was any good? Don't matter.
Willie sez so.....
My waitress was not that great But I would hit the place again cause it was good and fast and open for lunch
Yeah yeah....I kno this is a Que thread, but ?? In takin Ghost's recommendation....Several of us went to The Feed Mill today. Most of us ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (cept for Dirtryder...he got Q sandwich)
The CFS was INDEED as good as Mary's in Strawn.!!!...not the same style...more traditional deep fried instead of pan fried like Mary's but DAM GOOD.....I got the large just to bring some leftovers home!
I remember their steaks as lookin pretty tasty too. I jus haven't tried those yet.
When your my age they all look good....I went to Hammonds that day because the Coyote was closed. Maybe this year? I'll call ahead first.
It's the weekend waitresses that impress....Think about it ...all the college cuties are in school at lunch during the week. Saturday & Sunday scenery is what ya'll are rememberin.
Over the weekend, I heard a scary rumor....Loco was being purchased by a golf pro from Ridglea Country Club.
Doesn't make much sense to me, heard it third hand.
The son of owner of Loco, did apply at my place for a job I had posted on CL last week..
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are shitting me!!!!I will have to go find out
