Same reason I have posted two in Oklahoma. Some of us actually leave the state on our bikes!:lol3

I also wondered why Arkansas was listed to Central TEXAS. My father in law was from Arkansas but lived most of his life in Texas. Wonder why??? Nothing against Arkansas, we would not be eating Chicken without them.

LC Ribs seemed to be the same on Saturday after a couple hundred miles of muddy gravel and chipseal in the light rain.

Any youtubes of how to put up with a 2 hour wait? Sorry, but there are many other great BBQ places with no wait. Hype brings in the crowds but not me.

On a whim, the wife and I went to Loco tonight. Was kinda worried not seeing Tom and Linda around but at least Wayland was a familiar face. Sign on front door said now hiring so some changes must be in order. Happy to say all was good and no down side to the experience.
Brisket: this was really good and I am not usually a partaker of brisket at loco. Nice smoke, very juicy , tender and well seasoned....9

Ribs: ribs were pretty much the same quality for loco .....8

I am not a fan of their sausage and Becky (new owner) told me they are going to be experimenting with some new sausage in the future. I was very happy and left full as a tick and brought enough ribs home to make 2 more meals:deal

Well, next weekend I'm at Mom's and the following two weekends I'm Down South but after that we might just work on a little sumpin'. Like "I fly, you buy"? Could meet you on a Saturday morning at the park in Lampasas with a bag o' Franklin's BBQ.

How might that be for ya?

This place was listed in Texas Monthly and it pretty much sucked!

Brisket: DRY, NO flavor, kinda like those packets of roast beef for sandwiches. It was fairly tender..........4

Sausage: This was best of the meal not bad, but not the best either, It is kinda like a Polish sausage link, been better with Kraut.....6
Ribs: a bit better seasoned but very dry like they were left over from yesterday, tough........5
About 2 hours after this I was struck with nausea....Kinda ruined the rest of my day...Don't see my self going back:deal

Good places to eat on the river walk are rare. So rare, that I haven't found a place on the walk that is good, much less great.

A short drive from the River Walk is the Cove. Good food and great music. Bring your ping pong paddle.
