Never been to coopers. Hell I've never been to the county line or franklins either. House park BBQ is my go to joint.

Thanks. Didn't see this but Bodacious was recd by the clerk at my motel in Marshall. But, I was hankering for a mixed libation so went to Chili's. Had maybe the best burger ever and all turned out well. Next time it will be Bodacious.

Yup, eat bbq almost every week, but nothing that hasn't been shared here before.

Heim is excellent, probably the best in DFW. Go early, they sell out.

Went to HEIM last week and it is excellent. The Bacon Burnt Ends are awesome but only a little goes a long way. Green Chile Macaroni and cheese were also great. Worth checking out.

Been to most of the places (except #3, #4 #9). So stoked to see Micklethwait get the attention it deserves and that Tejas Chocolate Factory is on the list. That place was flying under the radar...Never a line when I went. I'm sure it'll be to the street next time I'm in Tomball. The burnt pastrami ends there are out of this world. Still not into Louie Mueller though. I've never had a meal there that knocked my socks off....

And for the people saying standing in line is for tourists.... Enjoy your pokejoes :jack

I was planning on skipping MotoGp practice on Saturday morning and make a trip out to Snow's but I chose poorly. I'll try not to make that mistake next year :(

I would put Mickelthwait at the top of that list, followed by Muellers in Taylor with Franklins 3rd. The brisket at Mickelthwaites is incredible melt in your mouth with an awesome pepper bark that precludes any need for any sauce whatsoever. Muellers thing is their beef ribs, we call them dinosaur ribs as they are huge, and just one is a meal. But you need to get their early for lunch as they are usually out of ribs by 12:15 or so. Their briskets is a close second to Mickelthwaites and they give you burnt ends to gnaw on while you are in line waiting to pay.

My little smoker is pretty basic, but I have it figured out pretty well.

JT and I had lunch here today. My sliced brisket was lean but not dry and was tender and had excellent flavor. Meat portion was rather small, but commensurate with the price. All sides are made from scratch, on the premises.

Can confirm, The Loco Coyote near Glen Rose on CR1004 is some of the best BBQ 9/10. And I have been to CattleAck in Dallas. The brisket burger was fantastic. We were on the only adventure bike there, but there must have been a hundred cruisers. Great atmosphere, we have this on our list of places to return to.

Just had CattleAck last week, very difficult to get there as they are only open for limited times during the week. We waited in line for 1.5 hours. The beef rib (one rib) cost me $25 bucks, but it was phenomenal 10/10.

Sorry I have been slacking....Health has not been that great for me so I have been lucky to eat anything let alone my favorite BBQ.
IMG_0558.JPG Caught lunch at Old 300 in Blanco....It did not make the TM top 10 but does for me...the food above was $16
RIBS: a bit dry for me but excellent flavor.....getting 8 only for the dryness.....8
BRISKET: DAMN GOOD AND TENDER>>>EXCELLENT FLAVOR ..........9
SAUSAGE: I got the jalapeno sausage and it was very good, great flavor but not too tough or dry.......9

The sweet cream corn is good....best I have ever had in any restaurant.
BBQ sauces: 1) sweet and smokey....good if that fits your palet
    2) Hot BBQ sauce is good and my preference....nice having the options if you want sauce...I only used on the bread to make me a sausage sandwich:rayof:dukegirl
Oh and I had no wait!!!!:happay
