Forgot to mention I am also currently working on minimizing a 1985 Goldwing into a fun around town bike!

Alright folks, after bouncing off a dumb cager in a minivan yesterday, I'm heading into Talladega to play on the 600-1 for more dirt practice. I've gotta stop by Big 1 Motorsports to have my Arai serviced. All are welcome to link up with me and we can do some dirt riding and canyon carving. PM me if you're in

Thanks, glad to still be here, and only suffering from a little stiffness. I hit a few dirt roads this morning to get my guts back, and my head right. Looking forward to some more dirt in a bit. It's a perfect day in bama, and have seen lots of hogs on the road.

Heading off to Ireland to watch the nw200 road races. Otherwise I'd be there in a heart beat. I spent most of last weekend in the trails and dirt roads. Have fun!!

Can someone tell me about Minooka? I'm in Mobile County but am planning to do a weekend "camp and ride" somewhere in yall's neck of the woods.

I have never been but hearsay says that it is very rough and rocky for bikes. Apparently four wheelers and/or Razors are taking their toll on the park. I think it is two-way trail as well.

I know they actually have dedicated bike trails, one way, but also two track for the side by sides. They have hare scramble races there as well. Just wanted to hear from a local on whether its worth the trip.

I rode minooka the first month i had my bike. It wore me the hell out mainly due to the side by sides etc who rutted it out. I'd go to more of a dedicated bike park.

The single track at The Ridge is fun and just technical enough! I really enjoy it even on my 690 but I enjoy a challenge.

Here is a video of us doing The Beast (Full loop of the single track) at The Ridge. It is a full length video of the entire loop so you can change the speed at the bottom right of the video just to get an idea of the terrain. Post up when you plan to ride if you want some company.

Nice vid. Yeah that looks like fun. I will post up when I plan on going and you are welcome to join. I would like to check out The Ridge and Stoney Lonesome at some point in the near future. They both have cabin rentals which makes it even better. Thanks for posting!

Better call Stoney before you haul. Not sure when they plan to open after the Rzr incident!
