I can't believe It's been 25 years since I joined the AMA. I only joined to ride a blackjack enduro. Now I'm a charter life member.

800 mile weekend, all crooked roads. Hung out with the Kansas City crew. Thought there would be a bigger turnout, think around 400 attended. Not many there at noon Thursday.

    They kept rolling in though.

OUT OF TOWN Rider in Fort Smith needs help.
Hey, just got a call from a group of folks riding through from Austin, TX. Seems one has a broken Valve stem on a Kwski 1000 (17" wheel). I told him closest K dealer to me is Freedom on Futrall but all are closed today. They went by Harley of Ft. Smith but did not get any help. They are looking for some help or a spare valve stem to fit. I sent a message to Joe Nuclear but if you have his number, call him. He might could help.
If anyone is in Ft. Smith can help a fellow biker with a valve stem or trailer/pick-up a bike they'd appreciate it.

Thanks. It's a fellow biker just calling for help from the BMW Anonymous book. PM me and I'll give you his number.

Probably. It's been more than 25 years. I let my membership lapse a few years when money was tight.
Most people from back then remember my yellow VW van with KX250 inside. Had to remove the forks and wheel to get it in there. Hare scrambles was more my thing. Never did well at an enduro.
Maybe you remember me from breaking my arm in '97 at bear creek. I was in shock and looking at numbers 40 minutes behind mine. Chose to ride out myself. Plate and 19 screws still in my arm. Drove my stick shift truck home and went to the hospital.

Don't really remember, but I was one of the ones that put that race on from 1988 until 1999. I quit the enduro after the snowstorm of 2000 brought down all of the trees and didn't have enough help to clear the trails. I am starting to clear and get some of the old trails open again that the ATV's didn't destroy and were to lazy to clear.
