It rained/misted on me all the way to the house too, stopped about 30 minutes after I got home. It was a good test of the new riding gear it kept me dry and warm I guess I was luckier than you. Nothing worse than being wet and cold!

I saw five large adv bikes this morning. F800, 1200GS, Super T, and two others. Plates were from Mexico.

Dave, nice photo. Can't find the quote button to click on. Your photo may be oversized. Call me if you need some suggestions. I would be glad to help. Thanks for posting it. :norton

We had a good time. I rode about 85 miles. Ark... and Ark... rode about 30 or 40 more. I got wet and I bet they got real wet. Oh well, next Saturday looks good right now.
    Arkansayer,
It seems you have greater knowledge of the area west of 27 than I. Are you going to share a ride in that area with us some day? I'm in if you do.

This picture posting stuff is confusing. I found that I must not delete the picture on the hosting site, good thing I am a fast learner!

Odds are I will have to work this weekend.
There's a very informal gathering at Gulpha Gorge. I've been to it a few times. Nice bunch of people. Some ride gravel roads.

I don't know the area between 27 and 71 any better than you do. It's mostly easy gravel. Getting lost is part of the fun if you ride with me!

Buck and I are probably go to Rover Saturday. Depending upon the creek levels we might take the less dry way back. If anyone wants to go with, Let me know. We can set up something.

    Dave,
I'll be breaking camp over at Lake Ouachita State park that morning where I've been camping and riding with my Sister and Brother-in-Law so I won't be able to make it. Besides Saturday is modern gun youth hunt, not sure I'd want to be in the woods:eek1

If you're not a youth they won't be hunting you.

It's an extra challenging thing. The youths are smaller and quicker, thus harder to hit.
Modern guns are even more difficult. Lots of them are camo or flat black. It used to be easy, catching the glint from a nicely polished rifle.

I will probably be off the weekend after this. The first weekend of modern gun deer season. If I ride it will be on major gravel roads. No goat paths like Dave led us down last weekend.

Goat paths are fun, especially if Doc has trained them.

I was thinking about heading out to the Ouachita NF near Winona for a ride this Friday (11/8). No set plan, just ride the area and hopefully catch some good Fall colors. Let me know if anyone is interested.
