Rain. If it doesn't rain maybe.

I met a friend of a friend the other day. Saw a KLX250 and C14 in his garage so we started talking. He also has a DR650. Maybe I can ride with him some. He's got spouse problems. Couple weeks I'm going to make contact again.

I may be in for this. I haven't actually signed up yet but intending too. I know you say medium bike, I will be on my KTM 500, are we talking cruising speeds under 60mph? I can certainly go faster just not fun for sustained jaunts above that speed. I'm in west Little Rock.

Deadline for sign-up is getting close.

I'd be on a Versys with 19" TKC80 front and K60 rear. Sticking to dirt roads would be cruising under 60mph.

My KTM450, though plated, is geared for single track, and lacks any real luggage option. If the weather is lots of rain, the KTM will probably go up with my van.

    I'm up in Cammack.

Been seeing 2 or 3 little Honda XL250s come by the house on a semi regular basis lately. Makes me sad cause my little Honda is sitting in the corner pouting. I'm glad this semester is pretty much over, maybe I'll get a chance to ride a little. I'm just out of Benton off Congo.

I live off ferndale/Congo rd as well, but up at Kanis rd. Let me know if you're up for some riding. I ride all kinds, dirt, dual sport, street.

I just came through there the other day on the V-Strom. I spend most of my time on it now. Another reason the little Honda is sad. I don't play off pavement near as much as I would like. I need to work on that. I think before long, I'm going to head up to Oark. I need some pie.

I'm in Russellville if ya want to ride some time. My location falls between NW AR and Central AR.......I'm a man without a country.

I was at Oark last week......pie is good. I ride the fat girl (Tenere) on gravel roads through the NF some if you want to go. The Versys is solely a street bike for me and is more fun to thrash than the pig. Schedule is crazy now and for the next few weeks but hopefully will calm down some later in the summer. Shoot me a PM is you want to find some good roads more west of you.

I'm officially signed up. What time are you planning on getting on the road? You want to meet on hwy 10 somewhere?

    @Motokirby ,
I have the Friday before scheduled off from work. My thoughts are a mid morning start, relaxed pace with a stop for lunch, make it with time to sign in and set up tents before dinner.

Meeting close to the Ouachitas would let us take the street at our own pace. Unless you know some dirt roads over?

@Bug Dr. @arkansawyer @treefrog and anyone else going to SLAP and want to join in?

I could probably whip up a track starting in the Lake Sylvia area over to Fourche Mtn via some forest roads. Then go up and over Mt. Magazine then on into Ozark. It would be untested but, that is how you make Adventure right? :) Not sure where we would be lunch time.

A good meeting place for this would be the Williams Junction gas station at Hwy 9 & Hwy 10 intersection.

    Thoughts?

Williams junction is a good spot to meet. Lake Sylvia to Forked mountain is easy on 86. I looked around a little on Google maps, shouldn't be difficult to plan a way through, just going to have to watch for closed roads.

How did you guys just leave and go ride on Mother's Day?

Camping is ok if there's a shower. Being nasty reminds me of wearing od green and is not fun. Not much room on my pig for carrying things anyway.
Day rides are more my thing.

In town for a few months working, have Vstrom 1000 and 530 Rally. I'm looking at doing the southern "half" of the OZAT one weekend coming up before it gets too "hot."

Hopped out for a short cruise before the rain hits. Water's already running pretty high, plenty of little waterfalls coming down alongside and across the roads. Had a very calm feeling to it. If by a longshot someone comes across an orphaned license plate somewhere in the vicinity of Winona and Flatside give me a holler.
