I was wondering if anybody has any knowledge of any good riding schools for adventure riding. I'd love to learn new skills and improve my current ones with the help of an expert.

Here's some info, the BMW school in Spartanburg is probably the best option in the Southeast for a pro school, everyone I know that's taken the course said was well worth it.

Also you may want to think about attending the Polar Bear Rally in early January. Every year Rich (Kaosrider) takes a group of sand noobs to a nearby state forest and teaches techniques learned at the BMW school. Plus we'll likely have two Adventure groups (big bikes, A and B) this year, ride leaders and sweeps of those can normally take a few minutes to show you and demonstrate some of the correct techniques for big bikes.

Checked BMW school, and although it looks super cool, its a pretty penny too! For a 2day Offroad course is 1600 bucks! Holy Hell... I bet it's worth it but I guess I'll wait until the polar bear and get some free pointers :p Planning on going also with the Apollo club in December.

Commuting on I-4 during rush hour should be all the "Adventure" riding training that you need. :lol3

That's adventure I DON'T need, no commuting on I4 for me thanks, not worth the risk. Call me a weekend warrior, but commuting in traffic is not fun, I'll take trips in all sorts of weather, but commuting at 6pm with 90F in pouring rain and bumper to bumper traffic is not what I call fun. Plus, with my job, is difficult for me to commute even if I wanted to.

search "Cross training enduro skills" on YouTube. A lot of great videos to help improve your skill. Doesn't cost $1,600 either.

It might be possible to get one of the schools to do a course down here on the peninsular in the winter if you generated enough interest.
