C'mon BB, don't sugar coat it .......
Tell us how you really feel.
Rode down to the river this afternoon. What a mess. 29.5 ft and still rising.
I'm glad I dont live close to the water anymore. Saw at least 50 homes surounded by water a few with water nearly to the roof in the Chillicothe/Rome area.
A buddy from work spent the weekend clearing and sandbagging his girlfriend's mom's house in Chilli, it's a mess up there. The riverfront boardwalk is completely underwater. Fortunately I live far away from the river too. I might ride up to Chilli in the next couple of days.
I know the flood is bigger than me being sick, and I feel for those folks. But man, I think I am dying. Anyone got a morphine shot?
Man, Chilli has been flooding since I was a kid. I think the bars have marks on the wall for the water levels through the years, (great pork tenderloin sandwiches). I think I'd have my house on stilts with a canoe tied to the steps for milk and beer runs.
It looked like this thread needed revived! What about you BigBore; still alive?
yes i am. been on the road for work. I went to fla, then phoenix, in palm springs now, back to phoenix next week, then home. My next ride will be in Michigan on the 530.
Hey John, what's up? Guess you will not be around this week. I plan for a bit of a ride this thursday. You probably wouldn't have much fun since the plan is to show Cathy around the Turkey Run area.
I made an overnight trip to Moonshine and Shawnee to try out my new Seat Concepts seat kit. 700 miles later I was still sore but not as bad as the stock KLR seat.
No Way! A KLR cannot be at the end of the rainbow. Talk about not livin up to the legend! Dem leprechauns couldn't even wipe the rain off the seat let alone mount it.
KLR = Kawasaki Leisure Rider, one step up from a cruiser.
But, on the plus side, since they only have 8 horsepower, they last forever.
"...they last forever"
That's a positive comment.
You want to ride in the mud William?
Well I don't really ride in it as much as I wallow in it.
Did you all quit riding or just quit bragging about it?
I finally got home after a month on the road. The AMEX took a a big hit. If the dog and grand-kids ever let me out I am ready to ride.
The 950 started. That's a good thing. You never know with a KTM. I got a buddy trying to offload a Honda on me.
I can't ride Saturday, I have an appointment to jump out of a plane.
If that turns out ok....... I could be up for a ride on Sunday!
You should buy that Honda, especially if it is kick start only.
I recommend against that Gary, but if you do, don't use a BMW parachute. Remember those broken wrists? You can only ask your wife to do that once in a lifetime.
...the cord and nothing happens......BMW will issue a recall on the the chute, set you an appointment three weeks out and then refuse your warranty claim and charge you $$$$ to fix a known issue seen with every other parachute they make, then it will open...um...just in...time?
Never mind, good luck!!
